The Generac Supercenter of Homewood AL advertised at the local ********* center in ********** ** during June of 2024. I asked for information and an agent contacted me on 14 June 2024. I contracted for a 26Kw home generator. Contract Number *****. The agent stated that the company was busy so the installation would not happen for four to six weeks. I waited 10 weeks with no call or communications with the Supercenter. I called approximately every two weeks for appointment information and each time I was told I was on the schedule and would be contacted with an installation date the next day. I was never contacted. On the 8th of October, I called and was again told that I was on the schedule and would be contacted in a few days. I was advised that our installation was scheduled for 18 November and the installer would be on site between 08:00 and 09:30. I purposely stayed home from work to be available for the installation team. At 12:30 on ************************************************************************************************ Supercenter. I called the Homewood Supercenter, and stated I no longer trusted the company to perform as promised and cancelled the contract for cause. The Supercenter in Homewood called me back and stated that I must cancel by mail. The representative (***) stated that there would be a restocking fee of ten percent. The basis for not installing my equipment was stated as they did not have the parts. I submitted my cancellation via registered mail and received a delivery of receipt. I was told it would take 30 days to decide if I would receive my down payment back. The return receipt is dated 21 November and comes from the ***********, LA facility. It is now 26 January, and I have had no communications with the Supercenter from Homewood ******* or **************************************. This company very quickly took my money and never communicated with me or delivered what they promised.
