We purchased our home 8 years ago through first nation Bank of Hartford. We have had more issues than I can type in this box!! The latest issue has been that from may 26th through July they refused payment claiming the card machine which is the only form of payment we have ever used was not working. We asked several times for a written statement proving that!! They refused to send a letter stating the card machine was down they also stated this would not be reported as late however not only was it marked late I have now received letters from a lawyer threatening foreclosure!! We have signed paperwork in my mother's home regarding this loan. We have had a 6 month period where one balloon loan was closed out yet another hadn't been opened they charged us over $1,000 during this time. On several occasions over the years including this one we have spent two to three weeks calling the bank to be able to make a payment yet each time we are charged a late fee regardless of the fact we had attempted several times to get in touch with anyone to make a payment! Now they claim the only way we can pay a house payment is by mail which cost me extra! We sent one payment in through my wife's mother and mailed a second one yet can not get them to mail me proof of payment! The issues with this bank are on going and much more than I can type here someone please help us with this situation

We did experience an interruption of service with our card processing solution.  We have switched to a new vendor and are again accepting payments by phone utilizing a debit card.  It is important to note that we offer this service as a convenience to our customers, but it is not the only way that a payment can be made.  In addition to mailing payments, we can also setup an ACH from another financial institution or automatic transfers from accounts held at our bank.  It appears that the loan in question was already experiencing delinquency prior to the card disruption, however we have waived all active late charges for the account.
