This place is terrible! Unprofessional, incompetent and straight up lying to s**** you over at the end. Be careful especially with mortgage and other loans here!!! Apparently they don't care about the well being of customers, only about themselves to pocket whatever they can get from the real people. Do yourself a huge favor and take your business/money elsewhere.Redstone Federal Credit Union Response

Thank you for your feedback. We take it seriously and will use this as a coaching opportunity to improve our service moving forward. We apologize for any confusion regarding your fathers car loans. To clarify, when the borrower on a loan passes away, that loan is in default, and the lender may exercise certain actions allowed under the loan agreement or applicable law in order to recover the debt (e.g., repossession of the vehicle, filing a claim against the estate, etc.).To avoid those actions, you do have the option to pay off the loans in full, but you also have the option to refinance the loans through RFCU or another lender of your choice.Due to the exceptional difficulty of a loved ones passing, we provide time for the heirs to resolve a deceased members debts prior to taking action. However, there are legal requirements regarding timing and recovery of debt that prevent us from delaying inevitably or allowing the loan to stay in the deceased borrowers name.Again, thank you for your valuable feedback. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. Once you determine how you would like to proceed, we will be happy to assist in whatever way we can.Review from Austin A

Came to my office to offer a credit card machine never informing me they were going to check credit score. Well things didn't work out and I was unable to use them which was fine but when seeing my fico score, I took a pretty big hit because of them unbeknownst to me. Then when calling them no one could help but keep transferring me around. As a small business I would not use them.Redstone Federal Credit Union Response

This company isn't recommended to anyone. My mom had an auto account with them and they're saying she's missed payments. How? The account was on autopay and miney accessible Then they closed it and sentthe account to collections. The vehicle was nearly paid off and this happened. Fraudsters at their best.Review from William F

These people helped jegs.com steal $568.96 ( they waited 2 months to to pay for something I never bought) of my money and then made me proove I had not got anything from jegs.com. they all made money off my money, where is my cut of the interest off of the money. These people are thieves and someone should see them and make them stop stealing from their members. I'm looking for an attorney to protect my interest in this matter.Review from M. S

There was fraud on my account years ago and I knew who did it. Redstone would not confirm the name so I could press charges or press charges on my behalf. They also would not give me any documentation confirming the transaction was fraud so I closed my account. Fortunately, my situation was less than $900 and they cleared it from my account prior to closing. Years later a similar situation with the same person committing fraud on a family members account, over $38K stolen. Redstone suggested asking the criminal to return the money. Redstone has proof of the fraud and they refuse to report it to the authorities. Why do they continue to let people get away with committing fraud and not reporting it or pressing charges? That means no members account is safe because they dont hold any of these criminals accountable for their theft.Redstone Federal Credit Union Response

Thank you for your feedback. We reviewed your account and see that you have an electronic withdrawal from Sezzle that comes out of your savings account. As a courtesy we did refund $350.00 in fees on December 8, 2023. When funds are not available in your savings account and an electronic withdrawal transaction comes through, an Insufficient Funds Charge will be assessed. Savings accounts do not qualify for Overdraft Privilege coverage. Please contact should you have any additional questions.Review from Richard V

Totally inept and I competent. My wife and I have two minimal accounts opened in order to receive occasional notary service and such. Their interest earnings accounts pay too low to do otherwise. First time there needed a Medallion notary for Treasury Direct. Manager suggested Medallion wasnt necessary and had to insist and show him the directions to do it. Second time notary told us she couldnt notarize a living will or anything from outside the county. Wrong on both counts. We to to another branch and had it done with no problems. Tried unsuccessfully to transfer a dollar to my wifes account using online banking to keep my account from going dormant. Was told it didnt go through because my wifes account was already in dormant state. We were in branch the previous day to get printouts of our member numbers. No one told us of this. Moreover even with updated address, phone, and email no one informed my wife of this. When logging into Online Banking there is no notification of this. Phone representative ***************** this and tells my wife she.has to visit branch yet again. A clown show is putting it mildly and politely. I would guess nearly any competitor would be more competent than this place.Redstone Federal Credit Union Response
