Bought a 2020 Altima at Landers 8/26/21. My husband made a comment that the driver's side door handle was loose that day. Each month since I've made attempts to have it replaced & have been ignored. Calling again Sept 24. We live an hour away from Landers & had our local Nissan check it at our first svc Oct 8 & was told it was the result of an attempted break in. I was told to file it on my insurance. Im not filing a problem that existed on the day I purchased it. We even told the salesman the day we bought it & said to schedule an appt . I called Landers again & made an appt Nov 18 with the svc mgr specifically about the door handle. When I arrived they acted like they didn't know why I was there. They said the svc mgr wasn't there & there was no record of an "we owe" from the salesman. File it on your insurance they said. I was upset & asked to see my salesman he was at lunch so I texted him & he called me. He stated they were changing GM's during my car purchase & he would put me at the top of his list to speak to him. Dec after weeks of no word I filed a complaint to Nissan corp ofc they basically said their dealers were independents, I tried to text my salesman in Jan and again he said he'd check into it..nothing...texted again this month (Feb) & he hasn't responded. I want my door repaired & my door handle replaced. It's a safety issue. I depend only on a key fob battery to get into my car now. I work at a hospital at night & I'm female I don't need the added stress of worrying about my car door unlocking or locking keeping me safe. I have never had such bad service. This is not my first Nissan but it's my first time buying from this dealer. I let them service my car so the drive wouldn't be a waste. The salesman tried to make peace & said to have them wash my car before I left...they couldn't even clear my service light! I did. I arrived at 2 pm for my appt & it was 5 pm before they finished my service. The door handle is $33 via their parts mgr. Why is this hard

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/03/07) */ The dealer has scheduled the customer to return for repair. Consumer Response /* (2000, 12, 2022/03/15) */ Just to update you that last week my car was repaired at the dealership and I had a new handle installed on my car. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. I just wish it had not taken this extreme measure to have this resolved. Sincerely
