This Doctor's ****** has decided that after "30 days" of not having payment even though it takes 2 weeks to recieve a bill so it is only 2 weeks to pay a bill that they will increase the bill by 100%. Yes, you read that right, they double the medical ***************** 30 days. There is no warning at all on the bill they just double the bill and when you call they threaten to send you to collections for the full amount and to not provide medical service to your children any longer. How can a medical doctor just double a bill like this after less than 30 days? I could full understand a 5 or 10 dollar late charge which is clearly spelled out on the first bill but there is no warning, no alert and you just get a bill that doubles every 30 days.

    08/21/2023

Mom (**********) called our office stating that she received the July statement on July 18, 2023, and two weeks is not enough time for her to pay her bills. I told her that the billing cycle is ***** days, it would not be 30 days from the time she gets her statement. ********** then states that when she received the August statement and there is a $20 finance charge on the account.

After going over everything and telling mom that she could review the paperwork that she signed stating there is a monthly $20 fee if the balance is not paid.  I told her I would wave the finance fee this month if the bill was paid today but I am only allowed to wave one finance fee per account. Balance was paid while on the phone with Mom(**********) through the mobile payment Link (Bluepay).

She (**********) stated that she was still not happy about there being a finance charge when she "is not allowed to pay in the office". I told her at every sick appointment she is given the option to pay through the mobile link or pay at check out when the appointment is over, and neither was done for the *** 06/07/2023 for BJS . She started getting mad and cursing at me.  I told her(**********) "Your account will be reset to zero, but I will not sit here and listen to you curse at me, Have a great weekend" and hung up the phone.

This all happened on August 11, 2023.
