            On Monday 11/21/22, I spoke with someone on the phone as my mother was asking me to cosign. Before giving any of my information I asked the individual twice if it was a soft pull or a hard inquiry. He reassured me it was a soft pull, and I reaffirmed that I do NOT consent to having my credit ran if it would be a hard pull. Shortly after I got a notification that my credit had been hit. I called them back and asked what was going on? The man said it was a soft hit as it's only a few points. I explained that there was a difference between soft and hard pulls (he works in finance, how can he not know this?). After a few moments he came back and said he was sorry and that he was mistaken.Today I checked my credit report only to find out that not one, but TWO hard pulls had been done!! I did not give my consent to have 1 done much less two!

            I apologize for the delay in responding. I did not see the email from BBB until they called me today and I looked at it. I think we have only had one complaint to the BBB since **** besides this one. Our salesman thought it was a soft pull when we pull credit. He was mistaken about that. He told the customer he was wrong and that he was sorry about it. I'm not sure why it is showing two inquiries from us. We would only need to pull credit one time unless it is from two different bureaus. I also apologize for this happening. I have spoken with the salesman to insure that this does not happen again. He is fully aware now that when we pull credit that it is a hard credit pull. I hate that this happened and it will not happen again.
