  My son, my 2 grandchildren and I stopped at the BP fuel station in ***** ******** to fuel up on a trip to ******* ********. I paid $42.37 for fuel and got back on Interstate 40. Less than an hour later my car starts to cut out and sputter. We pull into another fuel station and purchase some fuel additive ($12.04) to try and clear up the sputtering, thinking we had gotten bad gas at the previous station. It did not seem to help. We continued on trying to get to our destination but the car kept getting worse and worse. Eventually we did not think we could make it any further and pulled off in *********, ********* and found an auto repair shop. They put the car on their machine and it showed that spark plug #4 was misfiring and the coil had gone bad. They were going to charge us $1287.00 to fix it and could not get the parts until the next day. We left there to get another opinion and pulled into an Advanced Auto parts store where a nice gentleman found us the coil that the auto repair said they couldn't get and helped us change the spark plugs. He got us back on the road and on closer to our hotel in ********. I asked him if bad gas would have caused this, because I had my car checked out before we left home and everything was good. He said most assuredly that bad gas would cause this problem. I have contacted BP directly and they have denied my claim and said basically they didn't believe their gas caused any problems with my car.
