WRMC did a kidney biopsy on me I June 2023, on a Friday, that was unsuccessful, not taking enough tissue and caused an infection. I had to go to my local ER for the infection that weekend. WRMC said they would make it right and scheduled another kidney biopsy in Oct 2023, stating they would not charge my insurance or me for the second biopsy. My insurance paid the June bill and I paid my share for June biopsy. I was told when I checked in at WRMC in Oct 2023 for the second biopsy I would not be billed. I received a bill for the Oct 2023 biopsy and my insurance was billed again. I received a bill almost every month after Oct 2023 biopsy and I promptly called every time and was told to disregard the bill, that I was not to be billed. I was turned over to collections for the bill so I called WRMC again and was told that was incorrect and they would pull the bill from collections and I was not to pay. Collections called me a couple weeks later stating I still owed the bill. I called WRMC again who stated my case was in review to be pulled from collections, so I asked for a supervisor to ensure the bill would be taken care of. I spoke to Rose, supervisor that said no one ever said the bill would be taken care of and even stated the person who transferred me to her never said my bill was in review to be pulled from collections. I then got a letter from WRMC stating they reviewed my case and I was to pay collections amount owed and that they had no notes I ever called for more than the status of my bill, also stating they verbally told Mr I owed a bill when I checked in for the Oct 2023 kidney biopsy and called me the day after and verbally told be I owed a bill. I never received a call that I owed a bill and was always told when I called WRMC that I did not owe anything for the Oct 2023 kidney biopsy. I paid collections just to keep from hurting my credit as I go into kidney failure and need to continue to receive medical treatment from other providers.
