They sell garbage units. My blower motor went out after only 1 and a half years of use. They don't have parts available in any state but Arizona, so it takes several days to ship parts out for replacement. No compensation offered so must happen all the time. They recharge customers for shipping and programming, even when under warranty. Garbage company, garbage profucts.Review from Sally F

We bought our rudd aircondioner in2021 and have to had the motor replaced twice already. Have to pay service charge 500 each time.

6 months with a on and off again AC/heat pump. The High efficiency 21 seer 4 ton Outdoor unit has broken down over and over agin. There is still a non functioning unit attached to my house. The warranty department was extremely difficult and rude to deal with. After weeks of back and forth with the warranty dept. we were told they will only cover parts on a barely 4 year old system. My tech was told so many different stories (our unit is obsolete, the part could be easily made?, they don't cover a full replacement if the unit can not be repaired etc, etc) by the company's parts rep./distributor. This all led to them expediting our "part" 2-1/2 weeks ago and here I sit typing this with no part and no heat or air conditioning. I'm writing this no less then 60 days without functioning heat or air conditioning in my home!? HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE my family has suffered through this and RUUD/Rheem is to blame. Everything is documented and we will be seeking legal damages. They did not do their best and if they did it is not even close to good enough. Rheem has provided the part per the terms of the Limited Parts Warranty. In addition Rheem has paid to have the part shipped from the distributor to the contractor outside the terms of the Limited Parts Warranty. We are sorry for the lack of communication between all members of the distribution chain which lengthened this process.Review from Alexa B

AC unit broke after 1 year and two months of running. Ruud provides a “warranty” but only as to the parts. The parts are incredibly cheap, it’s the labor that costs money to fix an air conditioner. To have a brand new unit break so quickly and have the manufacturer advertise a warranty that doesn’t actually cover the repairs is disingenuous and deceptive. The product is of sub par quality and doesn’t work, and rather than standing behind their products and providing repairs, they are scamming consumers into purchasing units that do not work. I am incredibly upset at how this has been handled and will never purchase another ruud air conditioning unit again.
