I purchased a horse for the amount of 1700.00, that Fountain Hill horse company was claiming was going to be sent to slaughter. I also paid 160.00 for boarding fees during the time payments were being made. The horse was advertised to be healthy. I paid all bills in full well before the due date, and paid an equine transport 700.00 to pick up the horse and deliver to my parents farm in Missouri. The day of pick up ***** ****** ******* from Fountain Hill Horse Co. Texted and informed me that the horse I purchased died, this was within 48 hours of purchase. I was denied a refund, and offered a replacement if only I paid more money. Instead of transferring the money received from me, they deducted 700.00 from the price of ***** (the dead horse) for vet fees, then later changed it to backhoe fees, so I would have had to pay another 700.00 to make that up. There are many stories in the news of this same thing happening to other people who have bought from them, including stories of horses who were advertised healthy and arrived emaciated, crippled, sick, and even dead on arrival. There are many horrific reviews online I wish I had seen first. I was denied invoices to prove there was a vet or a backhoe fee. There has been no proof whatsoever that my horse even died, only their word. They took my money and I have nothing to show for it other than a phantom dead horse that likely has been resold for more money with a foal by her side, or is decomposing in a pit somewhere while I paid for a backhoe that was never used. Please look into Fountain Hill horse company. The owner of Fountain Hill ****** *******) had been convicted of animal cruelty for slitting a dogs throat on camera and posting it to social media which makes me wonder what actually happened to the horse I purchased. I want my money back, I paid in good faith and I believe this should be made right.

May 1, 2024 Drove 6 hrs. To pick up a horse at Fountain Hill Horse Co. That I had put a $250 deposit on based on a video they had online. Got there and horse was extremely skinny and after contacting secretary via messenger, was told he had been sick and quarantined. That info was not disclosed in description of the horse or when I had been corresponding with her through messenger. Then when I didn't take the horse, she tried to blast me for not seeing his potential and giving him a chance. He was sorely misrepresented and I was told he was rideable for a 250 pound person. No one should be riding him in his condition yet they did and posted a video of him being ridden. The saddle covered u his skinniness. The man there was rude and the secretary tried to make me the bad person for not paying the $1500 left and taking him. She offered to let me choose another horse but they all were extremely skinny and that was the only haflinger they had and I wanted the horse the claimed him to be, not the skeleton he actually was.

I wanted to save a horse that was supposed to be in foal but then, I realized the next day I realized that it would cost way too much to bring her from Arkansas to Texas. I was on a four-week payment plan with the Fountain Hill Horse Company and paid the first payment on 11/10/2022 and then the next day which was 11/11/2022 I asked for my money back and they refused to give it back to me. That money was supposed to go towards saving the horse's life and the unborn foal and it was board for a week. I asked the Fountain Hill Horse Company to return my money because that was supposed to be a payment towards the horse and weekly board, and it had only been one day since I asked for it back.

******* ******* has viewed our terms and acknowledged that her payment stays with the horse she sent them in for and goes toward the associated fees. She did request a refund at one point in time but has since requested an extension for her next payment which was granted. Although her following payments were not made as promised. I do still have the horse here with me and if she would like to pay her balance she is welcome to pickup the horse at any time during our business hours. With that being said she is fully aware that at this time she in non compliance with her payment agreement and I do have the right to re sell the horse. She has made three payments that total to the amount of $1,125. Her current boarding and medical fees are $754. She is fully responsible for the services that have already been rendered although she has disputed these payments made via PayPal so they are currently in review and not available to me at this time. Regardless of the outcome with the disputed funds she is responsible to pay us for the services she purchased and received. She needs to contact us if she is having issue with payment to resolve this issue. Thank you.
