Looking for a competent professional lawyer to handle discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of confidentiality and defamation of character. In reading the reviews I did see alot of negative "ones" up until about 2018 then they became 5 star with great review descriptors. Ignoring my gut feeling and thinking he had realized his reputation was at stake he had changed and we scheduled an in person $500. consultation followed with signing a retainer and agreement. One month later and Just shy $6000. the only thing we had to show was 2 draft copies of demand letter, evan then the drafts did not include what we were demanding and needed corrections, and he was asking for more money, over $5000. more; "since we were so close to the final draft". One Example of charges: You decide; 70 minutes to review and edit a draft that you had created, actually it was total of 90 min with his 20 minutes included. Invoiced for 5 bills but had only received 2, the missing 3 was for over $3400. and he didn't offer to resend them after 2 different requests until I pressed him at contract termination call. Had we received them when supposedly sent, we would have terminated contract earlier. I thought that I would give him the opportunity to prove himself capable of handling a case such of this, as he was advertising how professional he was with these types of cases. We were willing if needed to go to EEOC and then court. Gut feeling was telling me that he had no desire to proceed beyond demand letter for settlement. Needless to say contract was terminated, but this was an extremely painful expensive experience learned.
