Predatory and manipulative!!!Last Friday a representative from this company came knocking at my apartment at around 8pm (already weirdly late)He falsely and purposefully lied to us, telling us he was from ************ energy and that he needed to verify my boyfriends account information so that we keep that rates were receiving now before they hike up for the winter. This representative tried to claim that RI Energy would be going up $0.60+.We received an email from *********************************** that we were switching providers and to call back if that was a mistake. As far as we were concerned, we absolutely were NOT switching providers and explained to ************ energy what had happened. Thankfully we were able to catch it early and RI Energy told us that none of that information was true and they dont even know how much it will go up for the winter but it wouldnt be more than around $0.15. This should be considered fraud or a scam at a bare minimum. You dont build quality customer relations when theyre structured on lies and deception.Town Square Energy LLC Response

Id give them 0 if I could. Predatory practices as mentioned in other comments as well as calling dozens of times per day from different numbers (even when you ask to be put on a do not call list).Town Square Energy LLC Response

Upon receipt of this Better Business Bureau (BBB) review, Town Square Energy immediately reached out to the reviewer via email in an attempt to obtain additional information regarding this matter; however, Town Square Energy did not hear back from them and, without additional information that would allow us to determine who was calling, such as the phone number being called, Town Square Energy is unable to investigate further. Please be advised that Town Square Energy appreciates all consumer feedback regarding interactions with their marketing representatives and attempts to investigate any allegations brought to our attention. Town Square Energy does not tolerate actions that go against the sales policies and procedures set by Town Square Energy management and takes corrective action to resolve complaints when necessary. They contract **************** for telesales, they push a rebate check offer instead of the fixed rates, say you'll get a 7% rebate check for every dollar you spend on the supply portion of your electric bill, then they pump your rate up after a few months, rebate hardly ever even equals $70 which they tell you to let the customer know that if they pay a total of $1000 dollars over the next 7 months you'll get a $70 rebate check....that rebate check is almost always much much much lower, the supply part of your electric bill is not much money, the delivery part is where you pay an arm and a leg.There manager ******************************* is a poor manager/billing specialist, only really looking out for himself and his bonus. It's basically a scam to get you to sign up with them as a supplier, then they **** your rates up. They cold call but will tell you they got your information because you or someone in your household had recently been online looking into getting a new or lower rate on your electric bill, which is not true, most people have their bill included in their rent, others live in HUD housing and have no bills or rent, and then there are the kids phones and the parents then get in wondering why you are calling a child's phone. It's all lies. Plus they don't want you having the potential customers looking at their website because they will see that actual TSE has lower fixed rates good for one to two years compared to NuViews campaign. Marketing called and tried to railroad us without explaining who Town Square was ..Only that I qualified for my 7th month of electricity free. There was no mention of switching suppliers. When I said that I didnt like that method of recruiting I shortly received a call from a higher level rep who instead of apologizing bullied and insulted me. I guess that the customer does not come first. I would have never been condescending to a customer!! They hope that if they promise money and talk fast that youll fall for switching to them without knowing that thats what you are doing. If youre half way intelligent and ask questions be prepared to be insulted and bullied. Town Square LLC. Nonetheless, Town Square Energy searched its telemarketing leads database for the phone number associated with the name or email address provided within the BBB Customer Review and added that phone number to its internal marketing suppression list in an endeavor to prevent future solicitation calls. Moreover, Town Square Energy communicated ********************** concerns to its contracted telemarketing vendor and took the appropriate corrective action to rectify this incident. I thought it would be difficult to enroll in this energy company. The representative was so helpful. ******* and the first woman I spoke with if I don't have their names correct I'm sorry. but they were very very helpful she stayed on the phone with me while I enrolled online she reviewed rates. This company is horrible and ran by a sleazy company by the name of ****************, all they do is scam people lie and try to get their money. It was one of the biggest mistakes Ive ever made in my life thats why on the recording they say, its no guarantee savings, because, then youre agreeing to them being able to raise the rate whenever they want to how much they want to. They are a very shady company and it is truly disgusting how unethical and unprofessional the management is when I asked to speak to a manager, he sounded like he was half asleep or on drugs , and could barely answer my questions or concerns so they need to be shut down immediatelyTown Square Energy LLC Response

Can I give zero stars? Town Square Energy didn't bother sending my charges to my provider last month, so this month I got slammed with a $600 bill that was for two months. Way to go helping customers save money. Anyone know a better provider? I am ready to switch.Town Square Energy LLC Response

In receipt of Mrs. ********** Better Business Bureau (BBB) Review, Town Square Energy contacted her via telephone to discuss her concerns. In speaking with ***********************, Town Square Energy advised there was a billing error that caused the previous months supply charges not to be included on her Utility bill and in turn were presented on her most current bill. Further, Town Square Energy offered *********************** a new fixed rate plan, which *********************** accepted. *********************** voiced her satisfaction regarding Town Square Energys resolution.
