On August 3, 2016, Banner Health Arizona informed consumers that the company was hacked. Between the dates of June 23, 2016 and July 7, 2016, payment cards used at Banner Health food and beverage outlets may have been affected. Hackers focused on cardholder names, card numbers, expiration dates and internal verification codes.
Consumers who may have been affected should review payment card statements for any unauthorized activity. Banner Health Arizona also informed consumers that all patients were affected and that the attack does not affect payment card payments used to pay for medical services.
