The room smelled of mold. The property was trashy and unclean. The room itself was unclean. **************** is horrible. There are sketchy people hanging around outside during late hours doing who knows what. You will get no sleep because the music playing next to the motel is incredibly loud playing all night. Not kid friendly at all. The room is not as described online, they are purposely misleading people. If they are doing this to charge people more money then scamming is definitely their intention. So beware so you dont get scammed as well. It states double room which is what I paid for however it was definitely a single. I had to leave and stay at a different hotel. When these problems were brought to their attention all they could say was no refunds which Im sure is because these are common complaints. No accountability was taken for any of it.

Date of transaction: I stayed at this hotel from June 24 and checked out on June 25.Amount of money paid: I paid them $83.34 for staying and they charged me an extra $150 because they falsely accused me of smoking in the room. What the business committed to providing: A hotel room. What the nature of the dispute is: I am submitting this report because I want other people to know what this hotel did to me. I will not let this complaint go unacknowledged so that at least there is a record of how this hotel overcharged me and falsely accused me of something I did not do. I don't want this to happen to anyone else in the future and for them to be overcharged for something they did not do. The day of check-in was late and my husband and I went to this hotel to just spend the night and left early the next morning because we were going to go hike. A week later after returning home and going through my online bank I noticed that I had a $150 charge from them. I contacted them online since they were not picking up my calls. They told me that this was a charge for smoking in the room. They falsely accused me of smoking in the room and I know we did not. She kept arguing back and forth with me saying we left proof. They sent me pictures of yellow paper which I had never seen before. They also sent a picture of a small bag that seemed like trash. They refused to send me pictures of the cigarette butts. They also accused me of leaving marijuana in the drawers which we did not do.I am requesting for them to send me proof of the cigarette butts, marijuana in the drawers, and supposedly if I smoked in the room I am demanding a copy of the receipt for professionally paying someone to get rid of the smell. I know they will not be able to provide any of the following because I know I did not smoke in the room. This business really needs to be monitored for fraudulent activity. I read on ****** that they also have overcharge people for different things.

I booked a room in this Lake Powell Canyon Inn for three days through Orbitz, which was reported to have a three-star rating according to Orbitz. I arrived 2 hours prior to the check in time and tried to make some changes to my reservations through Orbitz's automatic system. The automatic system did not understand what I was saying and inadvertently cancelled my reservation without answering all my questions. Their subsequent response was to push the responsibility on me by contacting the motel to try to reconcile the issue on my own. When I contacted the motel, they said that they had already sold our rooms (despite having a vacancy sign) and had to charge us for the entire three days...because this was their policy. There was no remorse from this motel or Orbitz. In fact, both parties were rather rude and unreasonable during my discussions. I am now out of my total fees and have no place to stay with my family. I should also note that Yelp had the motel's rating at one-star (not three-stars as reported on Orbitz). I should also note that Orbitz signed me up for the "pay later" payment policy which I assumed to mean payment after using the hotel (but apparently not since they charged be for the full three days even without using the policies). Had I known about these discrepancies, I would not have conducted business with either party. I believe that the business policies of both Orbitz and Lake Powell Canyon Inn are unfair and deceptive and should be reported to the appropriate authorities. I would never do business with them again.
