On January 29 of 2025 at approximately 1:30pm i purchased a car wash ticket and unfortunately my vehicle was ruined. After I purchased the ticket i followed through with the Car and went through the car wash. Once my car wash was complete I went home and continued my day but unfortunately I didn't look at ****** an notice that the car wash machine ruined my car. The employee said it's my fault because I didn't check my car before I left. IM SORRY SO it's my job to make sure that the car wash machine is working proper? I have not been contacted by anyone at all and they don't seem to care at all that's why i am sending this complain to BBB. Raceway express car wash is very unprofessional.Business response

I canceled my car wash membership as I was moving out of state that was no longer in their service area. I canceled my membership on 9/22/24. My online profile with Raceway stated that my account was no longer active. I was charged $34.95 for the months of October, November, and December. They finally canceled the automatic payments, though denied refunds for October, November, and December. Instead I was offered a gift card to use towards a car wash. I no longer live near a Raceway Carwash, therefore a gift card would be useless to me. All I'm asking for is my money to be refunded after canceling my membership in September. Attached are my bank statements for the months of October and November 2024. My December statement has yet to be completed, but the charge was posted to my bank account on 12/17/2024. I am happy to provide my December 2024 bank statement when it is ready for documentation purposes.Business response

When you need a car wash, it is ordered that you have to utilize your card, no more cash. Then, once your card is used, they will continue to charge, whatever they want, without your permission!!Do not use them anymore!! I discovered this this morning and I am so fortunate that I did not allow them to use my credit card.This company is a scam and a user and should be closed, permanently.Business response

For the safety of our staff we have chosen to go cashless at all our locations, requiring payment by credit card/debit card only. Single washes or memberships can be purchased. If a guest signs up for a membership, it is setup on a recurring monthly charge. All guests sign a membership receipt when signing up. Memberships can be cancelled at anytime on our website, via our information email/phone line, or in person. If the guest signed up for a membership and would like to cancel they can do so in any one of the previous manners. Thank you.Customer response

I went to ********* car was on 8/29/2024 to get my car wash the car wash was$29.00 But my card was debit *****, when I got my car the driver side fender was was half off, I ask to speak to the manager His name was **** he told me that the car was damage during the car wash he also said that the owner would not pay for it. I went back to the car wash on 8/30/2024 to speak to the manager again I was told that she was not in, that's when I found out that **** was the outside manage not the store manager. I call for the store manager about ten to twelve times between 8/29/2024 and 9/13/2024 never got a call back from her. on 9/13/2024 I wrote the store Manage a letter about the damages to my car this lady never return any of my calls. On 9/13/2024 at 11:57 I got a call from ************** belonging to ******* ********, she told me that she was the store manager Boss and that she had read the letter, she ask me the year of my car I told her it was a 2014 she told me that they would not pay for it because it was to old. I told her that I would contact the BBB she told me to do what ever you want to do we are not going to pay for your damage to your car, This was a nasty , nasty lady I mean really nasty, I remain professional with her at all times but she was really nasty.Business response

We are informed you spoke with the District manager of the location and had been explained about our disclaimers and no damage report had been done the day of the incident. This is the acount #*****+616413 First I was charged ***** on 2/16 for a full car wash for a month and I was never told their would be automatic payments. Card was charged again on 3/30. I requested for it to be can canceled because I saw the pending charge on 3/29 for y *****. They broke my antenna so I never went back after February 16th. They refused to refund my account. I don't want a month free or a ***** gift card they afford. I just want my account refunded and the refused. Not very happy with them.Business response

I had recently contacted BBB to file a complaint against Raceway Car wash in *******, **. The company has been charging me after me canceling my membership with them in August 2023. I had to cancel all cards and my bank account because the company would not stop charging me even after canceling and the company reassuring me I would no longer be charged. They still owe me over $200 after over charging me the throughout the years my membership with them was active. I still have not got that resolved or disputed as raceway carwash claims nor have they tried to contact me or answer any of my emails. I have religiously sent emails to them and out of all emails only once was I answered. The company asked for the stickers to the cars on the membership and my bank statements so I provided them with that info. I have not gotten any response after me sending the info. I have also gone to multiple locations and every single manager gives me the exact same email and tells me I have to contact that email for further assistance even after letting them know I have emailed that email provided and get no response back. Raceway Car Wash has recently responded to BBB claiming to have tried contacting me multiple times via phone number and email address and claim that I do not respond. My email and phone number provided to them and to BBB has not changed at all and I have that last email from the companys email in my inbox so for raceway carwash to claim that they cannot contact me is odd. I also have a confirmation email from bbb and it is the exact same email I provided raceway car wash.Business response

I went to wash my car at this business and got a 1 month promotion for $12 unlimited washes but later found found it was a repeating monthly billing for $19.95. I should have known since they would not accept cash. I called to resolve and get my $19.95 back since I felt it was fraudulent and they refused but cancelled my membership per the person I spoke to. My name is *****************************. I am from *******, ** and that is where I initially opened my membership with raceway car wash. The exact location was on *****************************************************. I had my membership for over 2 years and had trouble with my account getting overcharged. I recently closed my account and I am still getting charged. I had a membership for 3 cars in the beginning and I removed 1 after I sold the car. I had 2 cars left and took 1 off again and added a different car. I then found out that I had been getting charged for 3 cars since opening my account with them even after taking 1 car out. I have been trying to contact and reach out to the car wash and was only provided with an email. I have gotten only 1 email back since sending multiple emails. They stopped responding to my emails and never got back to me after I provided them with my bank statements and proof of the charges. I canceled sometime in August and was charged in August, September, and now October 2023. My bank was able to dispute the charges for August, September, and October 2023 so I didnt provide proof.
