I hired Az Window and Door to replace windows and doors in my house. This has been an ongoing project for approximately 3 years. We have had our *** and downs with delays, incorrect measurements, etc. They have always treated me fairly in the past. This summer the last sections of the house were done. During this time, a large sliding glass door in my kitchen was measured incorrectly and had to be reordered. I was told it would be a rush job, maybe taking 2 weeks to get corrected. Of course, it took almost 2 months to get the door finished. During that time I had another door leak during a monsoon storm and had wet carpet. Once I finally got them out to do the slider, they informed me they had hired bad installers and the door that leaked was improperly installed. They had to tear that door out and reinstall which meant tearing the trim out too. At this time, they were also installing the slider in the kitchen. That went in fairly easily this time, but they had agreed to reinstall my security door on it and that needed some extra work as the new door was thicker than the old door. I had held back paying the last $2000.00 I owed them when the door wasn't correct in June. When they came back in September to finish I still held off paying the final amount as the trim on the door still needed to be finished and the security door was not totally secure. The supervisor was in agreement with me that because of the mistakes, the lag time, and the poor employees that we could call the $2000.00 a wash. Now, they are sending telling me they are going to send me to a collection agency because I owe them. I told them the job was not finished as the security door has not been finished. They won't release my warranty on the windows and doors. I have explained to many different employees and they always tell me they will get back with me and they don't. I want this issue resolved and I feel they can write off this small amount when I have paid over $100K to them.

    1) Purpose of the Transaction: I signed a contract with Arizona Window & Door LLC to purchase 5 windows and the owner, *************************** was to install them himself.2) Date of Transaction: 12/15/2021 3) Amount of Money Deposited: $4,310.00 4) Nature of the Dispute: ***** has not delivered and installed any of my windows. It has been over 9 months and ***** will not return my phone calls, my text messages, or my emails. I have assumed the best as I trusted *****, but I am now afraid the worst has happened. I believe ***** has taken my money and did not even purchase the windows.5) What I Would Like to Happen: I would like ***** to return my deposit. That is all. I just want my money back so I can move on.This entire ordeal has caused me a great deal of anxiety. I feel betrayed by someone I trusted and whom I believed would do what he was contracted to do. In addition, I will never trust a small business to do any contracted work on my home. Ever. ******* lack of integrity will impact all one man contractors because I will never use one again.
