AZ Hardwood was hired to complete flooring in my home ($10,018.40+prep cost). When the installation manager came to my home (8/29), he became angry and walked off the job because he refused to respond to a (previously agreed upon) request that was made regarding the installation (see below). The subsequent discussions resulted in them not finishing the job, and "cashing out", which involved overcharging me for the prep work that had been done. When I spoke to the office after the walk-off, I asked for the numbers to consider completing the job DIY, because I had to extend my accommodations by 2 weeks due to the walk-off ($1,000/week in accommodations). They said I would save $3,760 in installation cost, so I opted to DIY, but when I was billed, the savings (difference) was only $3,058. When I asked them to either make the numbers make sense, or complete the installation, they refused to do either.Additionally, the prep work for the flooring was estimated at $1,500, and they stopped mid-work to notify me they'd met that budget, and stated $200-300 more would needed to complete the work. I agreed to the $200-300 add-on. When I was billed at the cash-out, they charged $2,380.Most distressingly, while in my home, the installation manager's behavior was very inappropriate. He became very angry, repeatedly yelled at me (content: disrespectful/condescending) and took a box of hardwood flooring (very heavy) from the top of a 4-5 foot pile and flung open at my feet in anger. I had requested that they not cut into the door jambs, but install the flooring around them. The installation manager disregarded and cut into them anyways, so I had to spend money/time on those repairs. I had also requested they consider the color variations in the hardwood and put all of the lightest wood in the back bedroom. They had agreed to this initially, but the installation manager backtracked and refused saying it was not part of his job, and became angry, which resulted in the walk-off.
