My contract for work by Basurto General Contractors called for a down payment and a final payment upon completion of work. I was advised that I could pay by CC, debit card or check. both my down payment and final payment were processed in excess of the amount agreed to in our contract. When I ****** this matter to the attention of **************** she informed me that there were fees associated by use of debit card which I was being assessed. I informed her that had she told me beforehand I would have paid by check. She said she would contact Mr. ********************** and get back. I have called several times and she makes excuses for not returning my calls. I have not heard back from them and do not expect them to get back to me. Very unprofessional in their handling of this matter. No apology for not informing me of fees. I would not recommend this company as a result of my experience.Review from Robert V

OMG I thought I was the only one with this issue nothing but empty promises. None of the finish work looks good but to them its looks fine. It first started with the subfloor they put down the wrong kind this was after all the worked was half done thank god I took pics and noticed it. when they took up the new floor that they just put down they cut the locking system that holds the flooring together. when the sub flooring was reinstalled the seams where not sanded down **rrectly but i was told they where going to get done but it did not so now u can feel all the imperfections but they wont own up to it. then the custom made cabinets I paid for garbage. they did not tell me that the ones i ordered they **uld not get so they try to make them and did not tell me this and installed them without my permission they have tried to fix them and they get worse each time. nothing they have done has **me without a problem. there is to much to list. I can tell you this I wish I would have shopped around cuz I have lost a lot of money to this ** and I hate my house. The owner never gets on the phone with you or **mes to the job site. And the office threaten to call the *** on me.Review from Tara F.

Working with Basurto has been very stressful and disappointing. This company was referred to me, and during my walk through to get a quote with *****, I was satisfied with the promises made. Unfortunately its been a case of over promise, and under deliver. Initially the work went quickly, however, we have been stalled for completion for 6 weeks because the finish work is unacceptable. Basurtos website advertises quality craftsmanship, however, what weve received is far from it. I have asked the office manager repeatedly to speak to one of the owners, *****, about my concerns, yet she will not give me his number, nor will he call me back. Save yourself the stress and headache, DO NOT hire this company.
