We were patient and understanding when Thomas Cary Design/:Landscape owner had health issues, but then he would not follow-up or respond. He asked for another installment with the promise that work would be completed--- after many months of delays. We sadly obliged. Now he is hiding. We ended up losing about $8,000 due to $4,000+ of uncompleted work and spent another $4,000 hiring someone else to finish the project. I would not recommend using his business, wherever he landed - I assume not in **.

Scamed me out of 30 k loser is always hiding so not worth chasing. Dosent have any money anyway.

Thomas Cary Design/Landscaping has been a difficult experience at best. He has scammed ** out of about 30k after a two-year long project that was delayed multiple times due to his ineptness. He failed to pull proper permits and did faulty work whereas now we have to go back and "redo" his work and pull the appropriate permits. I am one of several within our neighborhood who have had to deal with the fallout of ****. We have also started the process of filing with ROC and the state attorney's office as going civil is just a waste of money now as there are so many people that have suits and/or collection/recovery against him. Please DO NOT use Thomas Cary Design/Landscaping.

We have been with ********************* for 20 years. the past year has been a nightmare. **** promises and doesn't deliver. He took $4800 from ** for stone and plants and has never done the work. At this point, he isn't answering his phone nor is the business line answering. The weekly crew has been missing for 2 weeks.I am so disappointed to be scammed by a business we have done business with for 2 decades. His father passed away and would be appalled what they've done to his company and reputation.

It sounds like we finished our project just in time. The work is mediocre and is needing a great deal of repair. We also had experience with money being requested up front for pergolas etc but when speaking with the company the deposits were unnecessary. It was very obvious that **** was using money from one project to fund another. Our large yard project took more than twice as long as promised and was never actually finished. **** only sent one or two guys per day to work and at one time spoke to them and me in a way that was so inappropriate I had to stop him. It was highly unprofessional. Also many of his workers are Spanish speakers and he does not speak enough Spanish to communicate with them.

*********************** and *********************** are ******. They defrauded us, lied to our faces, stole $45K from **, and abandoned our contract. We are currently in Recovery with the Ariz Registrar of Contractors against them in an attempt to get our money back. Their license has been revoked since they got 6 complains during 2022, but they are likely going to start a new company under a different name/agent and repeat this **************** again. I am writing this review to hopefully prevent any future victims. Do not contract with anyone named *********************** or ***********************, presuming those are their real names. I've attached pictures of their business cards which has their cell phone #s, but they could've changed them already. **** is about 45 years old, 5 foot 10, Caucasian with lots of tattoos on his arms. He has bright blue eyes and is completely bald. He usually dresses very casual, t-shirt, ball cap, board shorts, sneakers, and he sweats a lot. Drives a very large black Ram truck that is lifted off the ground. ***** is about 30 years old, thin, attractive, blond hair but could've been dyed, wears lots of makeup. Do not trust anyone fitting their description. Their ROC ******. We never really got any resolution as to why they did this to us, but we've been going through h*** for the past 9 months. Lots of emotional distress, worry, and financials problems for our family. I legit hope these two individuals burn in h*** They are immoral and lied to our faces, shook our hands. Unbelievable.

In august 2022 I contracted with *********************** to install turf, pavers and a brand-new gate. From the start, the communication was AWFUL. I would consistently have to hound him to get his crew to show up. ***** would normally respond only every 4 messages! When his crew would show up, they would only work around 3-4 hours a day. After initially promising this to be a 6-8 week project, it is now going on 6 months. ************* have been done since December, however ***** has gone completely dark regarding the gate AFTER I already paid 95% of the project upfront. ***** said this needed to be done so they had enough funds to buy remaining material - which turned out to be a lie. He has not picked up my phone call since October and his text responses (if he does respond) are weeks apart. I've never written a negative review for a company, however this is by far the worst experience I've ever had dealing with any vendor in any industry.

We retained Thomas-Cary Design, LLC in June, 2022, to remove our concrete driveway and replace it with ******* pavers. ************************* representative told us that a $40,000 deposit was required to order the pavers from their distributor, and that they would install the new pavers in August. We paid the deposit in June. In August, they told us the pavers were delayed until September. In September, they told us that they were delayed until October or November. In November, they told us that they were delayed until December. We called ****************** distributor and later met with their manager and learned that 1) no deposit was required to order the pavers; 2) ********************* had charged us for for ***** SF of pavers but only ordered ***** SF (and the actual square footage of our driveway is less than that, which we discovered after a re-measurement by a different contractor); 3) partial shipments of the pavers had arrived ************* but ********************* had declined to accept the orders and, therefore, not paid for them; 4) the pavers have since been discontinued and replacements will not be available for ***** weeks. We requested verbally and in writing that ********************* return our deposit on multiple occasions. ********************* refused and is now refusing to return our calls. No work whatsoever was performed. We are out $40,000 and still have our concrete driveway.
