    Worst experience I have had with U-Haul last December.I have already rented a truck from U-Haul before, however, in this location in ********, ********, Canada (**************************************************************). I rented a truck, without any following instructions on how or what time they close the location, I rented from 6:30 to 10pm, at 8:10 pm I tried to return but the location closed at 8pm. As normal, I would put the keys in the mailbox; this location didn't and still doesn't have this. So, it was already someone waiting in front of the location claiming to be the security guard... on my good faith I trusted since the following day for me was impossible to go to this location since I work, and also no one from U-Haul answered me to see what to do... I was scammed, and the guy took the truck overnight. In short story, I put the police report in as soon as I noticed this calling this location at 8am the following day. 2 days later the truck was returned without any damage, just without gas, and the police told me that the staff and people already recognized this guy from being around there, and nobody did anything. I CALLED TWO TIMES TO U-HAUL, AND THEY WERE VERY CLEAR THAT THE AMOUNT THAT I SIGNED AND I PAID WILL BE THE ONLY ONE, NO MORE SINCE IT WAS ALREADY TAKEN BY U-HAUL INSURANCE AND THE POLICE (Even though I paid for more time and gas as was, which in normal cases is returned, but I just leave it like this). IN JANUARY 1st, I WAS CHARGED EXTRA 300 DOLLARS BY ***** MONSERAY, WITH A BILL THAT DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE, WITHOUT ANY CALL OR EMAIL GIVING ME REASONS. I PROOFED WITH VIDEO, CHATS, POLICE REPORT, AND MORE THAT I WAS NOT THE PERSON USING THIS. EVEN TOUGH, THEY CHARGED ME CONCERNED BY THE "GAS." Since then I HAVE SENT AROUND 15 EMAILS, ONLY ANSWERED 2 TIMES, AND WHICH ONE ***** CALLED ME WITHOUT MUCH SOLUTION. I URGENTLY NEED THIS AMOUNT BACK ASAP, AND NEITHER HE, HIS STAFF, OR U-HAUL HASNT BEABLE TO NEITHER ANSWER ME.

    I'm a single mom with young girls, we had a 4 bedroom 2 bath 1 car garage home along with 2 dogs and 7 puppies etc with little to no help we had to pack up and move due to flooding from rain/hurricanes which eventually led to black mold inside the walls etc it raised health concerns because we kept a headache and stayed sick.I had rented one of the biggest trucks from this place, and after 3 days of having the truck and keeping up payments and calling each day to inform someone that I needed a little longer than I expected. I called and called several times for those days before finally getting them to pick up. On the third day I had come back to find out the truck was taken. So again, I called and called and finally had to call the main business number and they had told me that they were unable to get through to them as well, she was able to inform me that the truck had been taken by a employee at this "business" because they got a anonymous call from someone claiming to be the home owner of the home that the truck was parked outside of "my home" they stated that the truck had been abandoned. Without verifying identity or questions Without calling me or letting me know anything at all, they immediately took the truck and in the process Broke several valuables not even caring if the stuff was tied down or anything. I lost over $3,200 dollars worth of valuables because of them.Told me that they aren't accountable!!!To get the truck back they charged me $380 as well and then some more and are still trying to charge me now over and over again. This is by far the worst experience I've had with a so called business, beyond unprofessional, they are absolutely selfish, careless, rude, lazy, greedy, and the place is gritty and gross! I'm a very disappointed, I'm angry, pregnant and UPSET/HURT!

    this location is infested with rats. I paid over $600 to uhaul to move my things from ********* to ***** and put them in this location in a storage unit for 6 months just to have everything peed and pooped on by rodents. The manager seem well informed about the rats and was not apologetic or even empathetic at the least. I have done business with many different uhaul locations and have never experienced a rodent problem as bad as the one at this location and reading the ****** reviews they have been having this issue for years. I had to throw majority of everything I had in that storage unit in the dumpster and now I'm waiting to hear back from the insurance they referred me to. Its been over 3 weeks since I've heard from the insurance and I wish i hadn't been cheap when I picked the plan because I won't even get what my belongings are truly worth since I picked the cheapest coverage. I would not recommend this uhaul location for storage rental, they harass you with emails and phone calls after one day late and they call the references you have listed as well as the rat problem it's not worth it at all. If you do decide to use this location it's best you get the insurance that has an equal value to your belongings because rats will rummage through your stuff .

    Worst Experience Ever With Uhaul. I went on line and rented a 10 foot box van to move some stuff for my Dad. Got to the ****** station to pick it up and after spending 35 minutes inside with the clerk he tells me he doesn't have a 10 ft but they have a bigger one I could get. (By the way he was asking personal info and using his personal cell phone to supposably finish my rental. I told him I would not give him any more personal info . That's when he told me he didn't have the 10ft there) he then told me to call u haul and see what they could do. I called u haul and they found one up the rd so now I have spent an hr trying to pick up my rental. Finally got in a 10 foot truck. Moved my dad's stuff and returned the truck the same day . When I checked my account I had 2 charges on my bank account. One was for over mileage which I understand when they explained it to me but I had a $25.00 cleaning fee for moving blankets not folded up... I didn't even ask for the blankets. They was piled up not folded in the back of the truck when I picked it up. I just pushed them out of the way and I left them exactly how they was when I got the truck. Called u haul and the agent I spoke to said I see you didn't reserve the blankets but he will have to talk to his manager and see what they will do. He said it will take 3-5days. SO BEWARE.

    Didnt prioritize safety due to unsafe parking lot ************ experience 01/11/25:Three inches of snow was not removed in the parking lot. I fell in the parking lot getting out of my pickup truck. I am fine luckily. Had to use another businesss parking lot to test the gain on the trailer brakes because the parking lot condition was so poor. Still not plowed when the trailer was returned hours later. Everything else was fine about the experience.Employee testimonial:It took them 3 days to plow the 7 of snow from last weekend.Snow removal methods are dictated at the managers manager level and the site does not have authority to hire plows themselves.

    I have been trying to schedule an appointment for a towing package for my ****** Highlander for about a year now.First time I had to cancel due to my schedule.Second time the mechanic broke his hand and uhaul cancelled.The third time uhaul did not get the parts in in time and cancelled at the last moment.The fourth time uhaul had made another appointment for the work but I was already gone for the summer so I had to cancel.The 5th time when I came back the uhaul dealer told me about 3 weeks was their lag time to get it in. Later when I actually tried to make this appointment they told me due to a wiring issue with ******* they couldn't do the work.This after scheduling appointments 5 times for this car previously and not being able to keep them.Why they didn't just tell me they don't work on Highlanders in the first place instead of involving multiple shops and technicians with reservations over a period of a year to get the work done is beyond me.The bottom line is uhaul appears to be too big of company and the lines of communication terrible.

    I was charged twice on my credit card. I went into the U-Haul office in ******** ******* and rented a U-Haul vehicle without a receipt as he said he was going to email me it. Upon getting into the U-Haul, it was on empty when I picked it up and as we went down the road, the brakes were not working very well and the vehicle was very unsafe however, we were on a time crunch so we had no alternative then just to keep going I was under the impression that we rented the U-Haul. I had so many kilometres for free and additional would be charged to me. I understood that we picked up the U-Haul about 11 ******* Cameras probably around 1030 at the latest same day You need to check your cameras. The box of the U-Haul is filthy. It looked like somebody had spilt or leaked oil all inside the box. Some of my furniture was dirty because of it I put money into the truck upon return probably more than what was in it I purchased a bunch of tape that was not sticking and I had to go to Home hardware to purchase more this was an inconvenience. I was charged two rental fees. The amount of miles is incorrect that I was charged and also charged for fuel The person there was very incompetent and didn't seem to know what he was doing. I had rented from ******* U-Haul and never had this issue and it was a lot cheaper. The vehicle was clean and in good condition however I was closer to this location for my move. Upon reading the customer reviews, I see that I am not the only one who has had issues with this location. I feel this truck had been returned and immediately rented out for me without them making sure that this vehicle was safe and fueled and miles properly documented and maintained. Shame on U-Haul for allowing this to continue to go on at this location.

    This would be less than one star if possible. I reserved a quote from Uhaul for a $19.95 van of $116 for in-town, 7 hours and 100 miles. When I got there and discussed my options for a more inexpensive rental, I decided I would do less miles and only 2 hours. They told me they would pre-authorize my card for $124 for 100 miles but explained since I was doing less miles, the rate would re-adjust when I returned the van and should only be around $80. I came back with the van in the same condition I got it, 60 miles and was charged $123. When I asked why I was told it would be less if I didnt use the 100 miles, I could not get an answer. I COULD have used it for the whole 100 miles and gotten more stuff moved for ONE MORE DOLLAR!!!!! This is outrageous! THEN when I called customer service, I got spoken to as if I were stupid. The person was rude and not listening to my concern. When I mentioned talking to someone else, he said good luck, you can call again but youll get me again with a little laugh. I asked if he had a supervisor he said no. I need this resolved! It isnt even about the money at this point, its the customer service and poor business practices.

    I can't believe i was giving a truck with engine problem, i booked a truck from ******* to ******** about 33hours of driving, 4 hours into drive, truck pop out engine problem and truck started consuming gas, i spend of $2500 on gas instead of $800 as budgeted. battery died on my 3 times during trip. the road side assistance they sent then told me no to turn off the truck till i drive to my destination, makes me driving over 27 hours non stop, no sleep, extra fuel...i want compensation now.

    I rented a truck months ago and the day before my rental they canceled and switched me around to 2 other locations for a truck. I show up to pick up the truck and I still have no truck. I have set up the mover and Im suppose to be out of my storage units and apartments tomorrow. This company is the definition of corporate greed
