We contracted with Tri-City Improvement Pros to remodel our laundry room, which included adding cabinets, countertops, labor, etc.....We signed our contract on 12/16/23...the amount of the contract was $7,238.45. Tri-City required 100% of materials and 50% of labor to be paid up front for our project to be added to their schedule. The payment schedule was $2,614.22 upon signing the contract and $2,614.44 due by 12/29/23.The balance of the contract to be paid in increments after sections of the work were to be completed. We paid Tri-City Improvement Pro's $2,700.00 on 12/15/23 and $2,600.00 on 12/29/23.We received a call from their designer/estimator on 1/10/24 telling us that the Owner ****** (******) ***** was closing the business and planned on keeping all of the funds that we paid them for our project, along with so many other customers. At this point we have no idea if we will recover any of our money, and no work has been done to date.We have filed a police report regarding this situation.Thank you,*******************************

On September 26, 2023 *************************, as a saleperson for Tri-City Home Improvement Pros, came to my house to review changes that could be made to my kitchen. I promptly received a quote for this job. I decided to pursue and they told me they needed 1/2 down before I could even be put on the schedule. They did not hesitate to take my call when they knew payment was coming. Everything changed after this. After receiving payment they said someone would call within a week to go over next steps. Three weeks later - no word. Project Manager ******* was supposed to come to my house on Friday October 20th. No call and never showed up. Finally Monday he called and said he had a water main break and couldnt make it. Rescheduled for Thursday, October 26th. October 26th, ******* came out and said he did not think the granite could be removed without cracking and advised against doing the job. We pursued other options but they were too expensive for me to do. Another contractor **** came out and agreed it was too risky. When I talked with ****, he had no idea what the project was about. I had to send him pictures of the kitchen and explain what the plan was. He was given no information from anyone. So, since they were not able to do the original job, I wanted to cancel and get my money back. From this point on - I have texted, called, sent emails to get my deposit back and absolutely no one can help me. They promised by December 15th a refund would be sent to me nothing. I called the office again to see where the refund was and the mailbox was full.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are unprofessional, and do not care about the customer. The staff does not follow-up (except when they need your money), always late if they even show up and the owners never return calls.
