I was enrolled from 8/23-12/23. I was promised tuition assistance yet I was the only one who did not get any assistance and was harassed by instructors. I was called a bully because I pointed out when an instructor, who was not even licensed as an instructor, had a blade on backwards which could have ended up in a serious injury for a model. I also made it known that I could not do certain things due to my own medical diagnoses, this same instructor would purposely schedule these things on my schedule. This could have ended up in a lawsuit because my medical diagnoses are contraindications and it was taught in class by this instructor. She would also go around to other students and instructors and complain about me or make up stories about me, this is highly unprofessional especially when I am paying for an education which I did not receive. We were given broken equipment which is a liability for clients if they fall off of a broken bed and injure themselves. I would point these things out and nothing would get fixed or replaced. Rogers is not an educational school, it is a sweatshop for the Rogers family to make money while the students do the work without an education

*********************** has  graduated and is currently licensed. We are a private for profit school which only offers in house tuition financing that all enrolled  students are made aware of prior to any contract agreement. ***** (Northern *************** of Governments work force development program) is an organization of workforce development that does offer our students an opportunity to apply for a ***** that could be up to $6000 should the student show the need for help. Our students all apply for that *****. We can not guarantee that any particular student will qualify as that is the sole decision of the ***** organization. We are not privy to any information as to why ***** denies or approves a candidate. They only ask us to provide them with a progress report and a final balance. The student is  to provide all other information they require for possible qualification. We are under the understanding that there are income limits to whom qualifies.
We offer a student instructor  program whom is a licensed aesthetician that was in the process of her training program as well. That student is under the direct supervision of a licensed instructor.
We have no control of the $6000 she was unable to qualify for as that is again at the sole discretion of *****.

Should you need any further information please contact us.

there is still no accountability on how students have been treated and the poor quality of equipment. Clients complained about the equipment and some witnessed the verbal abuse. I could accept having a student instructor if she actually taught us the correct way to do treatments and didnt belittle us in front of other students, instructors and clients. I am licensed because of the only qualified instructor there and the fact that I had to purchase the proper study material for the United States state board exam, not Canadian. NACOG did not guarantee assistance, when I toured the school I was told by staff members even after I said that was the only way I could attend, again I was promised and was not the only one who this was promised to. The other issues are a little bigger than money.

As per our Catalog, we are affiliated with the ***** for our cosmetology and esthetics programs upon proof of eligibility. We also offer in house financial loan programs.
We encourage all students to apply for the ***** ****** but this is not a guaranteed ****** The ***** is at the sole discretion of ***** for approval or denial. We are not involved in the approval or denial of any applications, as ***** and Rogers Academy of Beauty are two separate entities. We apologize ***** was not approved for the ***** ******
All our education materials are through a third-party education company that is approved by the ** Barbering and ****************** All other material used is from the PCSHQ.com company. We are unsure of how Canadian material was presented to her.
As for the broken equipment, we try our hardest to be on top of any equipment that has lived past its use and will replace any broken equipment we are made aware of. If an item breaks in the middle of a service, this is an unfortunate circumstance that is unavoidable, but we will replace the item.
The only instructor that has control over the days schedule of appointments is our Director of Education. We take medical diagnoses seriously and would not schedule appointments our students would not be able to do.
The student instructor in question was a first-time educator, and we try our best to mentor these individuals in the correct way to educate students. The student instructor was also a student during the time stated and was not an employee of the Rogers Academy of Beauty staff.
The Academy has a Grievance Policy that is given to all students. This is the first formal notice of this complaint.  The administrative staff has no other record of a Grievance filed by *********************** during her education.
We appreciate ***** taking the time to highlight any issues that *** have arisen throughout her education, and we are deeply sorry for any disservice she felt she received from our education.
