Received a letter in the mail about a potential "Lapse in coverage" No idea what the "coverage" was for, with a fake account number.

A representative from Evercare called my 85 year old mother right after I moved her into the condo I purchased for her.The contract was for insuring contents of the condo. She has early stage dementia, but I didn't call the cancel the contract as they were listed as a legitimate business despite the numerous complaints filed.10 months later, she broke her hip and her memory deteriorated so I had to move her out of the condo for a more structured environment. I also had to cancel her credit card to prevent future purchases by telemarketers. 2 months ago, she started receiving calls from Evercare asking her to continue her coverage. She explained that she no longer lived there and did not need to continue that policy. The calls became daily and no explanation stopped the calls. I took one of the calls and explained that my name was on the deed to the condo and the coverage was unnecessary. The near daily calls continued. I tried blocking the number, but they call from a different number every time. October 14, 2024 we received a "Notice of Intent to Cancel" from ************* Plans. It stated that if we did not continue payments, the service contract would be canceled on 11/3/2024. Since cancelation is what we have been requesting from the telephone representatives, I simply waited for 11/3 for the cancelation. On November 15, 2024, we received another letter from *****, identical to the previous, except for the new cancelation deadline of 12/5/2024. We have stated our situation multiple times to telephone representatives and I used Evercare's "contact us" link on their website to express the same, but the calls continue.Harassing an elderly woman with early stage dementia seems like a terrible business practice and there seems to be no way to end this problem. I was hoping a positive outcome with the company directly, but there doesn't seem to be any path to that end.

    To Whom It May Concern:

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience. I do not have your mother's info to check her file to see why the policy was not canceled when you all spoke to customer service. Since the policy was not canceled, that is why the calls would have continued. We apologize for any confusion or misunderstandings. If you could please give customer service a call back and verify with them that the policy has been canceled that would help things. Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we sincerely apologize for this misunderstanding.

They lied to me over the phone about what my home warranty would cover. They told me furnace would be covered for any mechanical failures. When my gas furnace was shutdown due to mechanical failure, Evercare denied my claim because they didn't cover THAT mechanical failure. Since they failed to inform me properly on my coverage (I am not a mechanic and don't know ALL the parts), I feel cheated. Luckily, this practice was discovered early after my renewal of my policy and I'm only out $350. Here is a reference of what my policy covered: ************************** or ********************** valve, main burner, limit control, pilot burner, thermocouple, flame spreader, regulator, standard thermostat, manifold, fuse, transformer, relay, igniter, sensor, motor, power pack, bearings, pulleys, fan control, pressure control, pressure gauge, low water cutoff, sight glass, coupler, power pile, fluid pump, blower, and heat coil. Only natural gas/propane space heaters used for heating customers entire residence are covered as central heat.)"To me, that sounds like all the parts of the furnace right? Also should say "limited to" not only "includes" implying more would be covered...

Unfortunately these reviews are an example for all of us. BBB assessments are not very accurate Evercare Protection Services are also into home warranty. They keep sending FINAL NOTICES. THEY need to be investigated by the ***************************** and the State Attorney General. Also try **** Arizona and ***************.

They scammed my 90 year old father into purchasing platinum insurance for his car. They told him it would be a one time payment of approx 350 but instead have been charging his credit card for 12 months. When I found out what he was paying he had no idea and I tried to call and cancel. Here is the number you need to call to cancel ************. Be prepared to be transferred several times but stay on hold and be patient and you'll be finally transferred to someone who can help you. They will try to talk you out of cancelling and will reduce future payments and even waive future payments but if you continue to say you would like a refund they will eventually give in. You need to mail a letter to cancel giving the reason you want to cancel vin current miles that you would like a refund and sign and date it. Send it to ************* *****************************************************************************************. *****. You are entitled to a refund for any unused months. If your policy works like ours you pay over 18 months for 60 months of service so our refund is large --over 2000. Good luck and Ill let you know if I ever get the refund.

I called and was told by 2 different people that my car was covered under the warranty plan. Took the car to a licensed auto repair business and 2 days later was called to say he still didnt have a claim #. So I called and spoke with ***** who assured me she would call **** immediately, which he finally got a claim # the next day. After I called my mechanic to check the status of my claim he informed me that Evercare refused to pay, that the car was damaged by me, which isnt, true. Then he proceeded to tell me that there was an oil leak as well, and Evercare wouldnt pay on that either. So in order for me to get my vehicle out of the shop, I have to pay $4,049. Of which I don,t have that kind of money. I am a 70 year old widow woman and decided to purchase this warranty years ago for my protection. They are claiming that I did physical damage to the car myself, therefore they wont pay. When I pulled up their website and saw the rating for this company was 1 out of 5, that spoke volumes to me. I want to encourage anyone that is thinking about using them for a car warranty, please dont, they blame you, the customer. They are out to get there premiums and that is all. And trust me, after talking to 6 customer service people and account managers, Laura,Rhianna, **** and a guy named ***** ***** I was told to write all the complaints I wanted to. They refused to give me last names or the name of the company President. They sell these policies and then find a reason to blame you for causing the jdamage. Scammers at their best. What happened to the days of a companys President or CEO being reachable and ready to stand behind their business. Its very obvious that this company is worthless and preys on customers and dont have a conscience at all. I really do wish that the CEO or President would call me. When ***** ***** told me, oh no, we dont release their names and contact information, I realized I wouldnt get anywhere. Totally unr eliable!

I called to ask them to stop sending advertising and the first call taker hung up on me. The 2nd attempt, the call taker wanted to argue about the Extended warranty coverage I already have with *************** demanding that I look at my warranty and provide information. I refused, and again just politely asked that I be removed from their call and mailing lists. He then also hung up the phone as he bacame irrate and disrespectul in his language. Poor customer service and a scam I'm sure. Do not do business with this company.

I got the letter with the year, make and model on the top left side in bold letters. Underneath reads "Official Business" and "Penalty for Private Use $300. I must call within 5 days to ensure eligibility. The letter contains a phone number and a name "*********************** Program Coordinator" They want my VIN Number and current mileage...and presumably, my credit card number and bank account. On the bottom of the letter is "All services contracts are through Evercare Direct." I did not call the phone number and thanks to all who posted their experiences here.

I spoke to the most lovely lady, ******. I signed up for the bumper to bumper extended warranty without having the knowledge of what an extended warranty consisted of. I consistently received a piece of mail from ************ to activate my extended warranty in which I had no knowledge of what it consisted of. I am 19 and this was my first car so I was very uneducated. I simply could not afford the additional cost of the installment payments on top of my car payment and insurance being a new, young driver. ****** was the most amazing customer service representative I have ever spoken to. She has the kindest voice and was so so knowledgeable and wise. She walked me through the entire policy and what it entailed. I came into this conversation very ignorant to the extent of my purchase and I have full understanding of what I had signed up for because of ******. She helped me through such an easy cancellation of the warranty with no penalties due to being in the 30 day time frame. She more than made my week and my stress throughout this process has been lifted. She gave me the most amazing advice about making future purchases when it comes to getting a car and what the financing process entails. I am in the military and do not have a relationship with my parents anymore, so she truly made me feel comforted and cared for. Please give this amazing woman a raise! She let me know I could always contact the company in the future and ask for her assistance if I may need anything. Thank you so much ******, we need everyone in the world to be as kind, caring and helpful as you were. I will always remember the top tier customer service you provided to me. Thank you times a million :)
