Getting a solar lease through zealous energy sales team has caused our energy bill (when including the $120 lease/ 5.8 kilowatt system) to increase dramatically and not saved us the money as promised. We had 3 zealous sales reps come to our house. They pitched solar as a purchase power agreement and not a lease. It definitely is a lease. They ran the numbers we gave them and gave us projections that we would save $23 dollars a month by switching to solar. They also said our bill would range from $65-$95 dollars a month **** Their sales rep doesn't understand demand charges or how solar works. Our average bill before solar from February 2023- February 2024 averaged 170 dollars a month. Our last 4 bills since starting solar are: (under the customer generation plan)April: **************** June: ****** July-****** When you add a solar lease of $120 this is not good. * When looking to go solar, please contact SRP before going solar. They agents and contact of reputable solar sales teams that work with SRP and they can give you accurate projections.

Not all misrepresentations are fraud but almost all fraud includes misrepresentation. Got a cold call today, I was asked if I would be interested in lowering my bill by 30%. When I asked "how is that possible?" The response was "did you read the information that came with the *************** mentioning a program to lower your bill" then insinuated they were a partner organization on a follow up call. Wanting to understand if ambiguous language was being used to obfuscate. I interrupted and asked directly "Are you a partner of TEP?" I got a pause, then a clear "yes we are" we are mentioned on the bill/ mailer. "What is the name and spelling of the company" "Zealous, Z.E...." was the response. I had the bill in front of me and caught the caller in a lie, as there is no mention of the company nor program. (I later called TEP to confirm) I asked many questions and got very few substantive answers. Asked how they got my contact information, their story changed from being a partner with TEP to getting my information from public records. When I asked what exactly is the service or product they could provide that would lower my bill by 30% the response was someone else would be needed to call me back. They eventually hung up because clearly the conversation was not moving toward a sale. Call TEP to verify claims made by Zealous before moving forward. Here is a link outlining the scope of the problem I am describing **********************************************************************
