We traded in a jeep for a GR Corolla on November 15th. Horne was supposed to pay off the jeep and then we'd be done. As of yesterday, 25 days later, the credit union that has the loan for the **** called me to tell me my payment was late, almost a month late! We contaced the dealership, went around and around with them, all they could tell us was "it takes 30 days". Come to find out they didn't even send the payoff until December 4th. Today is the 11th and we still don't have the jeep paid off. I was told to make the payment then get reimbursed. I'm not making a payment on a car that I haven't had for almost a month! Horne continues to tell us that it is "the credit unions fault and they probably have the check and just haven't posted it to our account".

This customer's trade in has been completely paid off. It was delayed due to the customer wanting to take their trade in out of the deal. Then once they decided to keep the trade in as a part of the deal we sent the trade payoff to their credit union. We called their credit union once we received their complaint and an employee of the ************ told us that the lady who opens the mail had been out of the office for awhile. Delays like this happen all of the time that's why we tell customers that it can take a while for their loan to be paid off.

The dealership would only let us buy back the jeep. All of that was settled in less than a week. Then they held the payment for 2 more weeks before they sent the payoff in to the credit union. They didn't pay off the full amount, so we have to pay the remaining balance on the jeep.

We called their ************ and were notified that our check was $12.37 short. Typically, lenders send back the check to the dealership if it is short but, in this case they cashed it and didn't notify us of the short amount. When my office called regarding the title is when we found out it was short and immediately paid it. The account is now paid in full.
