    Sunshine Experts sold me my awning and installed it. A few years later, within warranty, when it was in danger of falling out of the wall, I called them and they said they no longer dealt with Sunesta, the maker, so I was s*** out of luck. They referred me to a handyman service who came out , put in a few screws ($500) and didnt fix it. Now its really falling down and my only recourse is to have the handyman service take it down and reinstall ***** $1400. To my mind, Sunshine Experts installed my awning and needed to remedy the problem. No matter who they do or do not any longer deal with.

    As you can see from the copies of the emails below this customer was informed that we no longer are in that line of business for the last 5 plus years and provided information for the authorized dealer in area, as the labor warranty was over 4years ago but they still had years on product warranty to they needed certified mfg *** to work on awning as not to void warranty. The company they contacted attempted to charge excessive amounts and double bill for work. This was not our issue and one she needed to direct to that company. I am unsure why she is attacking us and we have notified our lawyers about this defamation. We expect BBB to remove this complaint ASAP after reviewing the below email chain.

    City Wide was not my choice of installers, that was SUNESTA and their dealer in town  and you agreed to their service and paid them for service, we have nothing to do with Sunesta or City Wide. We are not licensed to work on Sunesta products anymore.
    Your issue is not with us, it is with CITY WIDE who took money and did not ***air. The statement it was installed wrong and then they charged you to fix it. And want to charge you again for them to fix what they just fixed at close to cost of awning. Based on that I am ***** of anything they stated and surprised you are. For the record they were last to touch awning.    Not sure how we are the culprits in this transaction. They are who you need to re-focus your frustrations.

    Our warranty is well over on installation and services as your dealer for Sunesta.
    Sunesta has a 10 year warranty on the awning itself.

    The installation was done to Sunesta installation procedures, which is documented. We did everything at the time to code and proper installation. What has happened in the last 2 years is not of our doing.  If unit came out from wall it is normally a wind related issue. I have not seen any proof of us doing wrongdoing except from your word that City Wide said it was not right, then again charged to fix, and still isnt right after they charged you to fix it. It doesnt add up

    Do what you want , we have pictures, proof and emails to support our position.  Like I said I was willing to help but your accusations and misdirected anger gives me pause to involve our company any further at this point.

    So..youve not received emails from me about my awning.
    My awning was installed on 8/9/19. Three years later, it was found to be pulling out ffrom the wall. We contacted SE, a man was sent out from City Wide Handyman, who declared that the awning had been improperly installed. He did something, announced it fixed, and that was that day. Oh, he charged me $585 on 7/17/23.
    Quite recently, we looked and the awning was pulling out again.
    We called and, once again, City Wide Handyman was sent out.
    Again, it was declared improperly installed.
    I have a quote from them to fix it for $1400, or remove it for $800.

    Heres the thing. Looking at other awnings in my neighborhood, I see that they are attached lower than mine. We have stucco over metal outer walls, or studs,the other awnings are attached lower to an area of greater support. My immediate neighbor, who I think had an awning from your company, had to have hers taken down because of the same problem.
    Needless to say, I am very unhappy..

    We no longer work with Sunesta.  I do show the awning was installed on July 2019.  Sunesta has had a few dealers in the meantime service the ****** area. If you call the 1 800 SUNESTA  number they can direct you to an authorized dealer.
    I dont see any notes to the limits not being set. If you cant get ahold of anyone to help, one of our techs might be able to walk you through resetting the limits over the phone if that is the issue for no fee and save you a trip charge.

    Hi there, 

    A few years ago my mother purchased an awning from you ***s (which you came out and installed nicely).  At the time, the installers put some sort of "limiter" on it so it would only open 1/2 way and the *** told her she could call to get someone to remove it.
       We called last summer and left a message to have this done.  But never heard back.  It's not a big deal.  

    Anyway, what do I need to do to get someone to come out and remove that limiter so she gets full range on the awning? AND, is it possible to get whatever is needed ADDED so it can be opened and closed using a phone app (and also do scheduling since some nights she forgets and it stays open)..In addition, we were told it will self-close in strong wind ... however it doesn't.

    Her information is below since you might need to look up the contract to get specifics before you answer the above (sadly she is old and I can't find her paperwork):  I will only be in town for a few weeks so I'd like to get the above addressed.  My cell number is ************.

    Sunshine Experts were awesome to work with. From phone conversations to actual installation of our solar tube was very professional. ******* was the installer and I cannot say enough and he was excellent !! Answered our questions and explained all steps as he installed the tube. I would highly recommend him and Sunshine Experts.************

    The crew led by *** including ************ did an amazing job. We absolutely love our new louvered shade over our sunny patio. *** updated us every step of the way and made sure everything was perfect. Great job of cleaning up after too. Only reason not 5 stars is work was estimated to be done by mid May and due to product availability was completed 6/30. This is beyond their control however office was not good at communicating updates. Would definitely use them again!

    From start to finish our experience with sunshine, experts was excellent. The phone receptionist, *******, was pleasant and professional and did a great job overall representing this company. ****, our installer technician was equally pleasant and efficient and professional. He Showed up on time and completed the entire project within probably an hour. After installation, he showed me everything that I needed to know including the photos from the work on the roof. The product itself is better than I even thought it would be. It looks great and puts out a lot of light, plus I got their night light feature which Im looking forward to seeing as well. This is our first solar tube and our first experience with this company. We are new to ******. I would highly recommend both the product and sunshine experts. Now Im looking for other places in the house to install!

    Our 14" Lighted Solatube was installed over 10 years ago, and we asked for a repair tech to come out because we think we accidentally cracked the top ring when cleaning the roof for coating. The super nice man on the phone set up the appointment and gave me an estimate for the work. The Lead *********************************, arrived on time and cheerfully made the repair in 15 minutes. He also fully inspected the Solatube inside and out and replaced a couple parts without charge. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with both extremely knowledgeable and courteous gentlemen and will absolutely continue to recommend Sunshine Experts to everyone. They truly care about their customers and the Solatubes are the best product on the market! I am really looking forward to having more Solatubes installed when we remodel the bathrooms.

    I needed a solar tube in my room and called sunshine industries. ***** the tech called on the appointment date and was here promptly.     Outstanding customer service and installation! I cant say enough good things about this company. ******* gave me the estimate, he explained the process and I was scheduled. ***** arrived on time and installed my solartube. He was efficient and very courteous. I had no windows in my master bath so I decided to place one there. Wow! What a difference it makes and I love it! If you are looking for a solartube call Sunshine Experts. You wont be disappointed!

    Our neighbor recommended Sunshine Industries for a "Solatube" installation and raved about his great experience with this company. We were a little surprised how much he hyped-up this Sunshine Industries and thought he might be exaggerating a little bit. THEN WE MET *******, our amazing installer! Wow!! We thought the SOLATUBE was BRIGHT, but this man is literally WALKING SUNSHINE! The product is fantastic and the new natural light in our previously cave-like laundry room is absolutely amazing. When the sun sets, a solar powered night-light keeps the room lightly illuminated. While on the ************************ noticed a few cracked tiles that were unassociated with our job and he sealed them for us at no charge. He also showed us filter and trim options to make sure we were happy with the amount of light and fixture trim. We are so pleased with the product, the installation and the great fortune of meeting ******* (voted WORLD'S BEST INSTALLER by my wife and I) we have decided to install a second unit in the master bathroom. Not sure what we're more excited about; the next Solatube installation or the next visit with ******* again. If you think I'm kidding, wait until you meet him and see for yourself! 10/10 stars A+.     ******* was knowledgeable and friendly and did an excellent installation of a 14" diameter Solatube in our residence. Estimated time for the installation was 3 hours and he hit that time right on the ***** Cutting the ceiling for the tube naturally made a mess with the insulation and plaster dust but he captured it all in a tarp he had put in place upon arrival. He even brought and used his own shop-vac for final cleaning, which was probably unnecessary because the tarp had been so effective.The "butterfly" dimmer could use some improvement (smoother operation, less/no delay) but it does the job. The night light works quite well and provides just enough light for safety, as desired.I was concerned when the light tube had to be partially collapsed at the upper end to get it into place. This was due to a shorter-than-adequate electrical connection that appeared to be the original wiring. However, the tube likely had sufficient springback once installed. The daytime light from the installed assembly was very bright, as expected, so tube bending apparently does not affect the performance.We took a chance by not obtaining advance clearance from our HOA for the installation because of the possibility of the exterior lens being visible from the street. However, the lens is not at all obtrusive and can't be readily seen from the street because it sits so close to the roof tiles. Solatube exterior lenses of other homes in the area are substantially more visible.Overall, we are quite pleased with the installation and would highly recommend Sunshine Experts, and especially *******, for anyone considering bringing solar lighting into their house.
