July 29th, 2022 K & T plumbing installed piping, booster pump, pressure tank for a new water tank at a residential home. Over the course of almost 2 weeks of requesting an estimate his response was 1) I will text it tonight or 2) I don't know (in business for 16 yrs. installing these simple systems), but will get it to you. It took weeks to set up the install of the 10K gallon tank. ***** the plumber knew I could not replace him as the companies working on these systems are at least 3 weeks out. Never received an estimate, not even his hourly labor charge. How could he NOT know what he charges per hr. I never signed an approval for the job and I was badly gouged in his total billing of @ $12,000. Labor hrs. were $65 higher for 2 people at $240 than ************************ at $165. He billed 16 hrs. on a job he said was 12 hrs. Failed to have an electrician there to verify everything was in good working order as he said he would. No warranty given on the Pressure tank, the Booster pump nor his work. N0 1099 given needed so I could submit a claim on the failed pump and the billing did not show the total cost of ONLY the pump as I made clear I needed. On Aug 1st I paid him $5000. cash per his request. I estimate the total job from other bids is @ $7200 to maybe tops $8000 total parts and labor, @$2800 labor plus TOPS $5000 parts which were mostly hardware store piping, Pressure tank $500, pump @$500 to $950. Without proper billing I cannot submit the insurance claim of at least $1000 on the pump. ***** also took my copper piping. See picture. You can see the old piping he replaced, the pressure tank, the pump in the photos. $12,000? The new tank, delivered, installed & crane & labor were under $10,000 total. I am considering talking with an attorney, suing *****. I am afraid he will vandalize the new system. I have cameras up & talked with the police already. Billing I never approved. *********** estimate: labor 2 men $175 an hr. I also have texts to corroborate this.
