My brother and best friend just died. I had just been diagnosed with severe arthritis is both knees. Unfortunately, My landlord refused to fix my ac. We had just received a excessive heat notice in the contra ***** times. The article told us residents to stay indoors. Since my ac did not work it was hotter in my home than it was outside. So I decided to stay at the days inn with my young daughter. So that we can have air conditioning and so that I can swim and bathe at the hotel. The 1st night it was a swiffer jet mop wipe cemented into the bathtub. I contacted the front desk. They refused to move my room. The second people was running thru the hotel and some very sketchy activities were going on. As result I didnt feel safe. So I left they told me they were reimbursing my money. They did not. I contacted corporate and they also told me they were giving me a refund. I have been trying to retrieve my refund. They have been running me in circles. I spoke to the local police and the location of the hotel is well known for the illegal activities

I 1st checked in on the 16th, and had forgotten 2 notebooks with my personal information such as credit card #s and passwords, daily events, tax info and other personal writings. This complaint is serious and hope something can be done. When I returned to retrieve my notebooks was a few hours later when I realized I did not have them. I continued to request for my belongings to be returned was during my whole stay between the 17th (day it disappeared) and the 20th when checking out second time. I was told that my belongings may have been thrown out, told that a homeless man, which hangs around the hotel and goes through their garbage, hasnt seen any notebooks. I felt like It felt like a nightmare. Not one person helped me retrieve my notebooks. I am very worried of identity theft and/or fraud because there is no way that they did not see my belongings when the maids cleaned the room. When I asked which maids worked on the 17th (checking out), front desk wasnt sure. I am currently homeless and the room was the cheapest so I had to book another night. Someone at this hotel, whether it is the maids or management, took my personal information. Please, if there is something else, I need to do to file complaints in order to retrieve my belongings, would so greatly be appreciated. I currently have no issues with my personal information being fraudulently misused but at this point if anything happens, I solely hold this establishment responsible. The belongings taken was a grey binder and a smaller black notebook. I reserved a room for one night on 12/24/22-12/25/22 through Expedia. The total charged on my card was $119.05. I checked in at 3pm and left the facility by 8pm that same night. I was resting with the lights off waiting for my food to be delivered to my room. When the delivery arrived, I turned on my light in attempt to open my room door, and I noticed a cockroach scattering from the counter with the sink going into the drain, another one by my nightstand next to the phone, and a 3rd one run across the desk across my bed (where most of my belongings were). I was able to take a photo of one of the roaches that was on the desk across the foot of my bed before it disappeared. I was in room 206 on the 2nd floor. Mind you the entire 2nd floor also smelt like marijuana as well. I called the front desk to ask for management and they couldnt connect me to anyone in management. They proceeded to tell me that they would call me back right away after I told staff that I seen 3 cockroaches. It took them over 30 mins before someone came knocking on my door (I assume the night staff worker some Indian man possibly named *** or *** from other complaints I read online). He never told me his name or position so it could of been a random person for all I knew. I was disgusted and creeped out so I didnt think to get his name. And when he came into the room to look around he tried to act surprised and confused and insinuated that maybe the window was open and they came in like that, or perhaps I brought them in with my shoes. I told him the window was shut the entire time but all the blinds are broken but that has nothing to do with ***** infestation. He said housekeeping never made reports about it and I said well roaches come out when its dark and scatter from light. I told him I had a picture of one and showed him the exact location of it and he wasnt even interested in seeing it. Then I proceeded to showed him anyway, he barely glanced at it, he played dumb and confused as to what kind of insect it was. If you ****** c*** ***** you can clearly see the similarities to help you make a clear judgment. He then tried to offer me a new room and I declined cause there were probably roaches in other rooms as well and I didnt want to chance taking any with me and contaminating my belongings more than they are now. I booked my room through Expedia and I asked for a full refund via Expedia and Expedia called the facility and was talking to the Staff member until I decided on the resolution that I thought was best. I asked for a full refund instead of being moved into another infested room. I just wanted out of there asap cause it was Christmas Eve and getting late and didnt know if I could find availability at another hotel. He told me I could get a refund but management has to approve it first and that would take a few days. Its now been a few days and Im still charged for that room. No refund. I looked up multiple reviews from ****** and other sites and they already have multiple complaints of roaches and bed bugs as well. And complaints of being told they would get a full refund but never did. I dont understand how management has to approve a clear health concern of infestation. I asked if they charged me a safety deposit as well and he said no. I dont see a charge for that but I wanted to be certain cause it says they charge a $150 deposit fee on the Expedia site. I just want my money back as the unknown/unnamed staff member promised me.

On 7/2/22 we arrived to the hotel for our reservations for 7/2/22 to 7/4/22. At check in we were asked for $100 deposit. I go ahead and try to hand over my credit card and they declined and said cash only. At check out Monday morning was told that the manager is not in at the time and can not refund us back the $100. They would like for us to come back in a hour. Due to our jobs we were unable to come back in a hour. We live 6 hours away. Our niece that lives in the area has gone to pick up the deposit and multiple times they give her the same response
