I contacted Tiny Paws Rescue on ******** (as that is how their website says to reach them) and tried to adopt a Shitzu puppy named *******. They told me they needed $100 deposit (first they wanted CashApp, then Venmo and then a gift card because the other two options kept coming up as possible scams) - I was eventually able to Venmo a **** ********* the $100 on November 5, 2024. They wanted another $100 sent by Venmo which I sent to ***** **** on November 7, 2024, and told me I would get an email regarding shipping the puppy. The email I received is attached stating they wanted almost $900 to ship the puppy in a "Covid" free crate and when I contacted the person I had been dealing with at Tiny Paws (**** *****) and told her that we agreed on a TOTAL OF $400 for the puppy, she told me I had to pay the additional shipping fee. I therefore responded immediately that I was not going to pay that money since I was told the dog was in ******** and I repeatedly asked just to pick her up and wanted a refund. They have refused to refund me my $200 and I have gotten harassed by **** via FB messenger for days. I told her I found another puppy locally that I was getting and again asked for a refund. She asked me to send her a video stating that I had found another puppy and the money would be refunded. I did that immediately on Sunday while I was volunteering at a ************ birthday celebration. She has been still harassing me and flat out told me today that I am not getting my money back and that was that.
