I contracted Luis with Creative Stone to do electrical work, plumbing and fabrication of granite. The contract date was 4/17. He ask for 50% down and gave no 3 day right to cancel nor a copy of my customer rights. He did not provide me with his contractors license number and told me that he is a general contractor (he is not)and could do the entire scope of work. The job did not start until July 13th and that was the demo and electrical part first. After several days and problems I inquired about the permit in which he stated he didn’t need a permit so I stopped the job. I called out 2 licensed electrical contractors to find that my kitchen had been rewired and not to code. After opening the walls back up, we found live wire and junction boxes buried inside the wall. All a fire hazard. He agreed to have it fixed and we agreed on Wise Electric to do the job. It was $4,200 and Luis told me that he would pay for it. He accepted the bid and put a deposit of $500 to get started. The job was completed a month ago and he has not paid the balance. During the demo, his employees scared my brand new $4,000 refrigerator. He agreed to replace it but again has not followed thru. He fabricated and installed the granite and the cuts are so crooked that the overhangs vary up to 1/2 and the sink is offset. The sink sits back over 4 inches making the faucet difficult to use. He said it’s not fixable and refuses to do anything about it. His workers caused a huge mess in my home by not putting up plastic and the dust from sanding the mud on the drywall blew threw my home as the air conditioner came off and on. I tried mopping it up but the water turned it back into mud. I am an elderly woman living alone and had to deal with all of this on my own right after cancer surgery. It’s been 3 months and I still do not have a fully functional kitchen. I was sent an invoice to pay over $6,300 for this mess and he refuses to do anything to correct it. This has been completely unprofessional
