    TOOK MY GOLF CART TO GET SERVICE WORK PERFOMED, THE SHOP AFTER CALLING ME AND TELLING ME ON MULTIPLE OCCASION THEY NEED MORE MONEY FOR THIS AND THAT WHICH I AGREED TO , I GOT A FINAL PHONE CALL EXPLAINING THEY WOULD NEED AN ADDITIONAL $700 DOLLARS TO INSTALL FRONT HYDROLIC DISC BRAKES TO MAKE A LIFT KIT WORK FOR MY CART, I AGREED TO $3700 WORTH OF WORK. WHEN I PICKED UP MY CART NOT ONLY WERE THE FRONT BRAKES STOCK (NOT HYDROLIC DISC) THEY HAD NEVER CHANGED A SIGLE PART ON THE FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM , ALSO MY BATTERIES THAT WERE TO BE "BRAND NEW" WERE CLEARLY USED , I CALMLY ASKED ABOUT THE PARTS NOT BEING INSTALLED AND WAS TOLD "O WELL THEY DIDNT WORK SO WE WENT A DIFFERNET DIRECTION" I OBVIOUSLY ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK ON PARTS THAT WERE NOT INSTALLED AND WAS TOLD THIS FRONT END COST MORE SO WE CANT GIVE YOU ANY MONEY BACK , I WAS NEVER ONCE TOLD ABOUT A DIFFERENT FRONT END NOR MADE AWARE OF THEM NOT INSTALLING PARTS THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE INSTALLED UNTIL I FOUND OUT THEY WERNT ON THE CAR AND BROUGHT IT TO THERE ATTENTION. THEY DID NOT INSTALL THE PARTS THAT WERE AGREED ON, THEY DID NOT CALL OR COMMUNICATE A CHANGE IN PARTS/PRICE, THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A PENNY BACK, THEY INSALLED UNAUTHORIZED PARTS ON MY CART AND I WAS NEVER MADE AWARE OF ANY PARTS/PRICE CHANGE.

    We did installed brand new US batteries on his golf cart; we do not sell used batteries at our shop. There is no way we do that. We even made a discount to him for all the work needed on his cart.

    Now about the lift; we quoted the original lift for a club car ds model the first time for $1,250 and when we were installing the lift; we noticed that he had front mechanical brakes and the lift did not supported the front brakes; therefore we talked to him with the possibility to get hydraulic front brakes for his cart and we will only were going to charge for the part ($700) and no labor added.

    However, when looking for the hydraulic brakes; we found the correct lift for his cart, one to support the front mechanical brakes and the price of that lift is $2,150; we made a decision to install the right one and he was at $1,950 which it will put us on the loss of money, but the cart will have the right lift on it. In summary, we cannot give him no money back, because just the right lift is $200 higher than what he paid. 

    We tried to reason with him over the phone today and on top of all the work we did and not charged him for all the labor involved; is not right what he is asking. If he wants money back ($700); we will need to remove the lift, leave the cart without front brakes and it is an unsafe move; because he has an eight passenger golf cart. We do not recommend that move; plus there is so much labor involved that he will owe us money from removing and re-installing something back. 

    He is right about not letting him know on that last decision to install the right lift for the front mechanical brakes he has; but it was the smarter and safer decision for his golf cart. He has the right lift with mechanical front brakes for an eight passenger golf cart.

    No money back or else he will be charged for extra (6hrs removal & 6 hrs install) at a labor rate of $100; $1,200-$700 (credit) = he will owe us $500 and no front brakes (which we will not do under the circumstances of putting the people of his golf cart at risk of an unsafe golf cart).

     I am rejecting this response because:

    A&D , never made contract with me in regards to installing a different lift on my cart , they did not install parts that were discussed and agreed on, I was never notified that they would not be installing a more expensive lift on my cart , charging a customer for parts and not installing them is fraud , and they have clearly admitted to saying they did not install parts that were approved , But did install parts they decided to install , they have openly admitted they did not contact me nor get my approval to install a different/more expensive lift on my cart , when picking up my cart they still did not disclose the change of work they did or didn’t do, I did not approve any additional work , the work that was approved and paid for was not installed , The solution they propose of loading up my truck and trailer to load up my cart to a now untrusted dealer to take off the front end of my cart to put on a different front end at my cost is asinine.

    We reviewed the case and it will not be possible to return money to customer; because we will have to remove and install previous lift at additional labor cost which he never was charged on the deal made to him. And we do not want to be responsible for danger or an accident if the cart does not have proper brakes to handle the weight and length of the cart.
