NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. LEFT CONFUSED & DISHEARTENED. According to How to Buy a Used Car Now (2023) article on Consumer Reports website, test driving the vehicle is listed as one of the essential steps in buying a used car. Test driving is considered standard protocol and procedure when used car shopping. MDK INTERNATIONAL profiles their clientele and prohibits test drives at their discretiondepending on if they feel you will buy the car or not. Its confusing and MDK does not care if they waste your time, energy and money. If I could give this place a -0 stars I would. My ******** engine went out on me. I should have read all the negative reviews online before going through the trouble of setting up an appointment via their website, paying for an Uber to a rental car place, and paying for a rental car to drive all the way to ******* from W. L.A..My experience pretty much echoes that of reviewer ********** re: Darya. ***** was extremely condescending, patronizing, bad faith acting, profiling, poor communication, rude, contentious attitude and just left the worst taste in my mouth ever. ***** accused me of not being interested in the car and not reading the Carfax--even though I had actually read it and also performed 2 VIN checks for recalls & theft. She said that if I test-drove the car and crashed it, I wouldn't want to pay for it. When I offered my proof of financials--she declined and made a back-handed ****** about my jewelry. I'm sorry but a person's jewelry doesn't reflect their financial portfolio or their credit score. Plus, I was paying cash!***** literally triggered a downward mental health spiral that I struggled with for days after to wrap my head around. I'm a survivor of trauma and live with ************* She is wrong and insensitive to nuero-divergent people.I just want to buy a car! I dont need to be antagonized and profiled. Go elsewhere. AVOID.

Beware. Red Flags Everywhere. Communication: *****'s communication in email was very poor and every response was short. I wanted more detail on the process and requirements for test driving before driving 1.5hrs to visit. It's as though they don't want to work too hard to answer your questions. Not confidence inspiring.Customer Service: They clearly have no real understanding of their customers, the car buying experience, or the average sales cycle. They assume every buyer will see the car online and come in to buy it the same day like a box of cereal.My Experience:I was very motivated to buy one of their cars and emailed to understand a few details and ensure I could make an appointment to test drive. So I prepared financing for the full vehicle amount to prove I was motivated and planned to buy the following weekend if the test drive was smooth. Upon arriving, after driving 1.5 hours, ***** refused to let me test drive because she didn't feel I was serious enough because I had a backup vehicle in mind if I didn't move forward. I was replacing my daily driver but they must view every buyer as an ultra wealthy collector. Note to Management: Just because you have other options in mind doesn't disqualify you as 'not motivated'. Apparently, you can only test drive if you're going to buy right after, which again, proves they don't understand that a car purchase requires a lot of thought and consideration and a test drive might add another variable to consider. Takeaway:After dealing with this company in person, I'd be VERY concerned and worried to make a purchase. They are obviously immigrants (not a bad thing) but as a result they clearly do not understand how to conduct business in the US nor do they understand sales, customer service, or relationship management.My advice: RUN

Can I give this place a zero star?Nobody answers the phone and you have to text them. You have to ask them to get a call. The woman that answers the phone seems to be bothered you are asking questions about the car. Any questions you have she says to look on the website. Any title questions she says look at the carfax. This person knows zero about cars and customer service. Top it off chewing on the phone your lunch is ultra rude. Do not buy from this place at all and avoid at all cost. Red flags all over this business
