Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/11/03) */ Contact Name and Title: ********** - Sales Mgr. Contact Phone: ********** Contact Email: ****************** This gentleman verbally threatened my employees with violence. The ceiling holes were pre-existing in a heater closet that was not inspected in many years. The AC wire that was cut was not in a conduit and left unsafe. We warned the HOA (who is our client, not Mr. *******) three separate times about potential for AC issues and nothing was done to address them. There are two sides to every story, and a reason we have a contract that speaks specifically to AC issues such as this. The negligence in maintaining electrical wires in an unsafe manner is not a condition we created. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/11/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Please be advised that this company damaged four other units on the top floor, including mine, and response from this company is in no way truthful. Just ****** them and look at all of the complaints. My condo was pristine when I bought it two years ago. I work in the construction industry and I'm very aware about what happened. I only bought my condo two years ago, and I am very clear that the inspection showed that my ceiling was in perfect condition, I also have photos from that 2020 inspection to prove it. Their flagrant and disorganized employees also damaged for other units on the top floor. When I reached out to them initially to let them know, they were extremely defensive, and denied their wrong doing before even looking at the damage! Clearly, they are very used to this sort of complaint, stay away!

    Business response

    07/01/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2022/06/14) */ Hi There, SBR reroofed some of the roofs at the ********************** (***), where this gentleman lives, in 2019. The contract between the *** and SBR clearly states that SBR is not responsible for any interior damages whether caused by construction or as a result of leaks. This contract was mutually agreed to between the *** and SBR and signed. Specific to the damages alleged, SBR was not given access to this unit (or any other units) prior to reroofing to see if there were any pre-existing damages. So although we do not dispute there was a leak, we cannot verify if the damage pre-dated our work or not. This is one of several reasons we have this damage clause in our contract to begin with. We have spoken with the gentleman several times about this, and politely tried to explain the logic, as well as suggest he follow up with the *** who may have a contingency for interior repairs. He has proceeded to file a complaint here against us, as well as post negative reviews on public sites such as *************. Although we understand the frustration at the end of the day the recourse is with his ***. To be clear, SBR has no contract with this gentleman directly, only via the *** where he lives.
