  Purchased defected tires from the friends tire shop. The tire Deliminated and exploded on the freeway. On 9-7-24 I drove less then 200 miles on the tire before it exploded..The faulty tire also cause over 1000$ in repairs and made the car undriveable..I had my kids in the car and it scared the h*** out of all of us I want reparation for the damages to my car and replacment of proper tires

  To Whom it may concern,
  It is important to note that Used Tires are not guaranteed nor carry any type of warranty.
  Mr. ****** called in prior to coming in to make his purchase specifically requesting for size 15 or 16 Used Tires. I explained that I would need the full tire size in order to confirm if we had his size(s) needed/requested. Shortly after he came in to pick out and inspect which tires he would be purchasing. He proceeded to tell me that he had over a hundred rims at home and he used his tires for drifting. He even made a comment that he was looking for a sponsor and he would come back in the future when he got set up at ************** a near by raceway. He also mentioned that on his vehicle he had it modified to were he could use 15 or 16 inch sized rims and tires. Mr. ****** said he would return with the rims shortly. At his return the tires were not mounted on the vehicle. The tires were inspected by the tech prior to mounting on the rim then submureged in water to check for any possible leaks from the tire or valve stem. After ensuring the tires were ready for use Mr. ****** and the tech walked them over to his vehicle and loaded them in the back of his SUV. The condition of his vehicle was not inspected to see if he had any previous damages to his vehicle. For this reason we can not confirm that the damages were not already present.
  Mr. Bessex had the used tires for over a week and in the pictures provided it shows his vehicle to be out on a dessert road. There are so many objects in the dessert that can cause direct impact or damage to any style or type of tire.
  Mr. ****** also mentioned in his claim that the vehicle was undriveable. However, He showed up on 9/7/24 at our location in that same vehicle shown in the picture. When I walked into the office, I saw him standing there and asked how could I help him. He said we sold him a faulty tire. I once again, explained to him that used tires do not have a warranty or guarantee but they are checked to ensure they are good prior to leaving our location. He was reminded that he watched the entire process and even picked out which tires he wanted. Furthure more, a sign is posted outside and inside the office on our price board. (Please see pictures provided). He turned around and said that I would be hearing from his attorney and burned rubber out of our parking lot potentially endangering pedestrians in the area.
  We recommend in the future Mr. ****** purchase new tires if he is looking for a Tread Warranty, Road Hazard Warranty and/or Manufacture Warranty. But again, Mechanical issues/problems or drifting would void these warranties.
