    I signed up with this Gym. I wanted to do it for only 6 months but I was informed that it could only be done for one year, expiring 3/2024. I was told that I could cancelled if I moved. I did due to my daughter's cancer treatment at an other city, i informed them of this and they ignored me I never used the membership but paid the whole year plus 102 and several times three time 27 dollars in a month. Never received and call or contact. now that the membership for one year is up, they sent me a message saying that its on automatic renewal! I had reached out several times, they sent me a hard copy on my contract and a sticker with a mocking face. I have sent several messages and letters to let them know that I need to cancel that the year is up but they are bullying me into keeping the membership.

    I am writing to formally file a complaint against Anytime Fitness, located at ***************************************************************************************. My experience with this establishment has been highly dissatisfactory and has raised significant concerns regarding their business practices, specifically in relation to the cancellation of my membership and the subsequent unjust charges.To provide a comprehensive account of the situation, I initiated the process of cancelling my membership on February 27, 2023, at approximately 10:20am, during an in-person meeting with ***************************, the manager at Anytime Fitness. During our discussion, ****************** verbally assured me that my membership would conclude on April 24, 2023, following a final upfront payment of $103. She explicitly communicated that there would be no further billing or access to the gym beyond this specified date.Although there was no formal documentation, I placed my confidence in ********************** verbal commitment, as her assurance was both clear and persuasive. Regrettably, my bank statements reveal recurring charges that continued beyond the purported membership expiration date. I was charged on April 24, May 8, May 22, June 5, June 20, July 3, July 17, and July 31, totaling $208.In my pursuit of resolving this issue, I visited the gym on July 31, 2023, to address the matter. ****, another manager, acknowledged the discrepancy but faced challenges in locating evidence of my membership cancellation. He requested that I return on August 2, 2023, for further investigation. When I revisited on the designated date, **** informed me that no evidence could be found to substantiate my cancellation claims. Consequently, he advised me to complete a cancellation form, to which I complied. I conveyed to him that ****************** had not instructed me to sign any such document. Furthermore, I inquired about ********************** availability to discuss the issue directly, yet I received evasive responses.This entire experience has left me deeply frustrated and concerned. While I acknowledge the absence of formal evidence due to ********************** failure to provide documentation, I am led to believe that her actions may have been motivated by ulterior motives, possibly attempting to extract additional funds from me given my age. At the time of these events, I was only 18, and I cannot help but feel that this was taken advantage of.I kindly request your intervention and support in expediting a prompt and equitable resolution to this matter. I eagerly await your response and guidance throughout this process.Thank you,***************************
