    I brought my car in to Toyota of Santa Cruz on the 30th of September because my seat on the drivers side was stuck and would not move backwards; it could move in any other direction except back which resulted in me being too close to the steering wheel. After dropping it off I received a call explaining that there was an issue with the switch and that it needed to replaced and would cost $440. I agreed to pay and returned the next day to pick up after repairs had been finished on the 1st of October.Shortly after I left, my seat started making strange noise when I would adjust it forward or backward and planned to make a call for another appointment. On the 18th of October I went to adjust my seat forward to clean the back flooring and it became stuck again in the same position it was stuck in when I initially brought it in. On the 21st, I called and explained the issue and was given an immediate appointment. After dropping my car off, I received a text with an estimate for $1,323.52, I was shocked by the price and the expectation that I should pay such an absurd amount to repair the same issue. I called to get an explanation and was told that the initial issue had been the switch but now the frame was damaged and needed to be replaced. It is clear that either a misdiagnosis of the issue was done initially which led to unmitigated damage of the frame or in the process of repairing the switch, the fame was bent which led to damage of the frame. In either case I am not at fault and should not be financially responsible for further repair of the seat.
