Received sickly tree with loss of foliage. Bears no resemblance to the photo featured on the site in terms of quality and health of plant. I believe their typical response to complaints is for customers to give the trees time to recover from travel effects, thus putting the buyer out of the return window. The customer support is horrible. They take no responsibility for the poor quality of the product and the return policy is a sham. We are out almost $200, despite following every recommendation to revitalize this sorry tree. Id advise no one to buy from this company.

If allowed on this site, I would give the following ZERO stars. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS!! I ordered from Eastern Leaf, Inc. (EL) ********************************************************************************************************** Order has shipped. (Order#: ****** placed on 12/14/2023), received 12/16.***** received did not resemble product advertised, was losing most leaves and I contacted EL on 12/16 and expressed my dissatisfaction. They said that it was "normal" and plant "should recover". They also said they provided a 30 day replacement policy (no other options were presented)! After 26 days, the plant has not "recovered" and I asked for a **************** EL said they looked at my photos and determined it was "healthy"! Then they said they would not accept a return due to their "7 day policy" that was never offered, included in any previous communication or included in the shipment! IF that company does not accept my return for refund now, I urge all to NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS! I will be happy to rescind this review/complaint, upon good business practice by EL with a return and full refund by February 12, ****.

We purchased 20 trees for my baby shower. The description says we recommend ordering 2-3 weeks before the event. We followed this and the trees arrived 2 days later. They were dead and looked terrible for the event 3 weeks later. I let them know and the customer service was not great. Rude and challenging to work with. Will not use them again.

I purchased 2 bonsai trees for Mothers day gifts. The first tree arrvived. It was packaged well. Upon opening it, I descovered one branch was wrapped in gray putty, meaning the tree either had a broken limb or it has a bad spot they were trying to cover up. It was also extremely dried out, which I figured was from shipping. The second order came in. This tree had yellow leaves, black spots all over the leaves, and it was soaking wet. The black spots appear to be a fungal infection growing. I called customer service because they take 2 days to email you back, just to be told to email pictures over. So 2 days later, I receive a response and they tell me the trees are both healthy and the first one i need to water...... I asked to return the tree and for a refund, havent heard anything back. I doubt I will recieve a dime back. one tree was $40 and the other over $130. Plus I paid $15 shipping. Buyers beware.

I've read the other reviews and simply don't understand! I just ordered a medium Chinese Elm (the second I have ordered), it arrived in perfect condition without losing a single leaf. It measures 11" from the pot rim to the tallest point on the tree, exactly as advertised. there is an abundance of new growth on it.....IT IS HEALTHY AND BEAUTIFUL!!! I have been doing bonsai for several years and I can be pretty picky when it comes to my trees and I absolutely cannot find a single thing wrong with this one ( it was the same with the first one I ordered). I highly recommend Easter Leaf....if your not satisfied with your tree contact Easter Leaf immediately and see what can be worked out....I have found them to be honest and reputable.

This company grossly misrepresents their plants. Their customer service is unfortunately beholden to their owners who seem to be very predatory in their business practices. The tree I received was no more than a stick in the (highly compacted) soil, but as an experienced plant owner I figured it was dormant because of winter. A month of following Eastern Leaf's instructions later, I find out the plant isn't even ALIVE because its roots had been suffocated by the compacted soil around it -- I had to use a pressurized jet to remove the death plug of compacted soil around the poor plants rotted roots. The owners have strict rules in place that they only offer help within a month of receiving the plant (even though plants like bonsai normally stay dormant for MONTHS) and offered a 10% discount for my troubles. Embarrassing.
