    Terrible customer service. I bought the wrong size in an item. I realized this as soon as I got home, but threw away the receipt. I asked to do an even exchange for the correct size. The tags were still on the product and it was in perfect condition. The store refused to help in any way and were very passive aggressive when speaking to me about it

    Ordered online, checked my bank account and realized it was not in my currency so it was MUCH more than I expected, as the site is NOT clear on that or makes it known, despite selling/shipping around the world.Cancelled once I saw how much it was, but you have to wait for customer service to see that - rather than how most things work, being able to cancel it yourself while looking at the order - so despite me cancelling the order before it was processed, they told me it was too late to cancel.I have told them many times I have cancelled it, as I did it within reasonable time, but they are refusing to actually do ***** is more than I can even afford, more than I approved, and now my bank will also be charging me fees because this company has shady practices and does not care for their customers. I would have returned to buy more affordable things, now I am never trusting them again.

    Demand a phone number or will not allow a purchase. Dont need or want a business spamming me or monitoring any transactions I do with them or others.

    They will lie to you and tell you oh well. They lied about shipping three times and then lied about the website being broken. Bottom of the barrel business with even worse customer service. This company and employees are 100% garbage. -5 stars if I could

    I felt discriminated against when shopping at one specific location. I went to this specific location for an item, I waited in line like they said you should and then as they opened they proceed to let two people cut in front of me and buy up everything that I wanted in line for. That is completely unfair and I will no longer be shopping at a place like this if it wasn't for us actual customers the employees wouldn't have a job or a paycheck.

    Store:279, Date:6/5/24, Time: 4:10 pm Salesperson: ****** (******), Cashier: ****** (*****)I dont have names, just going by the receipt. The stock person was friendly and helpful. They retrieved an item from the back and gave advice. Good humor as well. The cashier on the other hand was very rude! She was snippy about the $5 reward and made a rude comment about physical size. The comment made me feel uncomfortable and regretted going into the store. If I continue to shop at Hot Topic, it will be online. I attempted to reach out to HT but there is no email available, the chat feature didnt allow complaints, the what can we do better form had extremely limited space (characters allowed), and the form would not submit- asking for reCAPTCHA verification to which there was none to verify.

    Hot topic has never been a problem but as of late the return center has been impossible. I mailed my return on March 27th 2024 as of May 17th 2024 the $64 dollar has still not come off my Hot topic card. I have called several times they said that they're going to process it and to wait 5 to 7 business days and it'll come off. It has not. And now they're saying that since they successfully went through three times with the process of the return that they can no longer help me to call the bank and see what's going on I bought the items with a Hot topic credit card they will not help me they will just send me back to the return department. So now I am out $64 dollar and have to pay the $64 dollar when I did return the items and I do have the tracking number to prove it.

    On April 16, 2024 I bought multiple items from Hottopic.com. 2 funko pops (a collectible bobble head) and a shirt. I was charged $29.93 for everything at 2:35 pm. $10.94 for the funko pop in question that has yet to come out, $3.28 for the other funko pop, and $13.69 for the t shirt. Today May 8, 2024 I get charged $12.14 for the funko pop I never recieved. I had no idea why I was charged as I already paid for it so I called them and they tell me this is normal for pre-sale items and you should recieve the money back in 5 to 7 business days. So they double charged me for an item just to give me it back on a future date. That is stealing; and essentially forcing me to lend them this money because I purchased through them. If I'm lending them this money; I deserve interest on that money. I can't go to one of their stores purchase an item and then afterwards take a different item with a promise to give them their product back in 5 to 7 business days. That's not how things work. I tried to resolve it with them; but they told me I wasn't double charged. Then once they looked up the order number the guy realized I was right and hung up on me. I called again and was left on hold for 45 minutes waiting for a manager until they hung up on me again.

    I tried to return a "Rancid Out The Wolves ******** at the Hot Topic store in ************** in ****, ** with the packing slip and the Manager was extremely rude to me. The assistant manager was really nice though short lady with glasses and dark hair. He was yelling at me in front of customers. He was not listening to what I was trying to explain him. His name tag said ****, had ear plugs. He wanted me to call customer service to do the return when he was able to do it at the end. I was able to find the shirt online too to help him find it in his system. Honestly, horrible experience, it left a bad taste in my mouth. Never going to that Hot Topic in my life again.
