I am in the process of planning my baby boys 1 year of life celebration and as a Mexican American it is in our CULTURE and our TRADITION to bring serenata to our loved ones whom have passed away. During his funeral services I was able to have serenata for his burial, but today I got a call that I am not allowed to bring serenata to my son for his 1year of life celebration and has broke my heart into a million of pieces! I do not understand why issues with other families (which is the excuse I received by one of their staff members) has to do with my baby, myself, and my family. The staff member that I spoke to said this was coming from ******************************* which I was told is the manager at Montecito memorial park!!!! It is truly unfair and just heart breaking!!!!The first year of life celebration is as important as the day of their funeral and our loved ones deserve to be celebrated on their one year anniversary as our culture and tradition calls for.

We do not allow amplified music above ********************************************************************************************************************** residential neighbors. We have signs posted at all entrances with these rules. The families have offered to allow to use our chapel to have their anniversary service and allow music indoors, but they declined. We are very sorry that this impacted the family however we turn down requests from many families every week.

First off PLEASE READ!!!!! Also before reading know I always leave fair honest reviews and almost always positive if you look at the rest of my reviews, so where to start, it has been the most horrible experience from a business I have ever watched people go through. From the beginning and even now that our loved one has been put to rest, their has been so many issues. My father n law past away in November of 2021. This place has a huge lack of communication, my wife, mother n law, and her siblings have never received a call back after who knows how many messages since we've lost count and have each email and call documented. It's very sad to see my wife cry so many times not just because she lost her father but also because she couldn't get through with the coordinator ( Ernie) to check status on insurance payment  so dates could be set or any other of the smaller questions we had. The only times that things would move forward is on the dates that the coordinator happened to be off and another coordinator would help out and even then was so hard to get answers to anything.  After months coordinator told us just to pay for services because life insurance can take a long time, had he said that from the beginning payment for services would have been made so we could have buried our loved one on a timely matter but was originally told would be no problem using insurance. What we also can't understand is why would we have an option to select and pay for 5 photo books (mother n law selected religious one) when mother n law only got one book and it was not the religious one. It's very sad to deal with these kinds of discrepancies during a hard time like this. My mother n law has been calling now and leaving many messages to get a picture added to tombstone and also get a copy of paid in full receipt and no one has called back. She was also told by staff that the coordinator would email receipt and has no yet received it either and no call back. I can't think of any other
