Bought a pre need contract with inland memorial for a cremation for my dad and now supposedly the company was Bought by a different company with the same name the price has increased and my dad's contact is nolonger being honored by their inland memorial but my aunt has a contract for pre needs but they will honor price for service now and in the future even if price increases. If very frustrating and disturbing that they can pick and chose who they want to cover or not in the time of loss and I think it's the same owner but is working under different business licenses.Initial Complaint

The entire company is full of liars and worst unethical individuals ever. I have no idea how they are still in business. My father was picked up in August 29th, 2022 and we are still waiting for his remains. Already paid in full close to $700.00 dollars. Nobody has confirmed the cremation and the details given for it are absolutely ridiculous. They are liars and nobody gets back to you. I have had to call, email and text message still no responses. ALL LOCATIONS NEED TO BE OUT OF BUSINESS! I filed a grievance against them at the Department of Consumer Affairs Cemetery and Funeral Bureau. My next steps are to hire an attorney and make sure this place no longer does business. They are hurting so many family members and should not be allowed to remain open. Ilene in customer support is clueless. She has promised the owner by the name of Alana was to get back to us and still no calls with no updates. It is now Oct 9th and way over a month since my dad was picked up. This is insane. Originally we were told 3 weeks max. I think at this point he is lost and nobody knows what to tell us. DO NOT USE THEM AND JOIN IN ME IN SHUTTING THEM DOWN FOR GOOD!~ I have all the documentation to prove what I am saying is real.Initial Complaint

My brother died 6/13/22 and we signed a contract at Inland Memorial in Upland for cremation and 3 death certificates. We were initially told 3 to 4 weeks to receive all. After waiting and calling we were told 12 weeks. After 12 weeks the Upland office no longer answers the telephone. I was only able to get **** at the Colton office to answer the phone. She contacted ******** at ###-###-#### from Upland who promised to send the cremains and certificates last Friday 9/16. Nothing arrived. I called today 9/23 and she told me she would call back in 30 minutes , and she did not call. I am beyond frustrated. A friends husband died in Orange County last month and cremains and death certificates were returned in 2 weeks.Initial Complaint

I am ***** *****, POA for my now deceased mom, ******* *******. My mom passed on June 8th, 2022 and Inland Memorial, of CA, took my mom's remains to their place of business. I signed a contract for cremation, on June 10th, there was no place on the doc for mailing directions, so the funeral director told me to email the address to her. I also ordered 9 death certificates through Inland Memorial. ****** Sandez, the funeral director had me pay for the service ($1105.44), through Pay Pal, and told me it would take up to 12 weeks for my mom to be cremated and have the death certificate mailed to me. Now it is coming upon the 15th week of my mom's passing. Friday, September 9th I called the funeral home and there was no answer. Monday, September 12th I tried calling again and no answer. Tuesday, September 13th I called again and my call rolled over to the Inland Memorial in ***** Ca. I spoke with a ******* who informed me that ****** no longer worked for the company, and she could not talk about it but to email another person and let her know the address I wanted my mom mailed to. I did send an email to the person ******* told me too. I did not receive a response to that email inquiring questions about my mom's cremation, death certificates or place I wanted my mom emailed to. Today, Thursday, September 16th, I tried calling ******* at the ***** location and a ***** answered the phone. I asked her job title and she said she had none but would help to resolve my issue-which I explained to her. She said she could not talk about what ****** had done, but I explained I payed using Pay Pal and she agreed with me that that was not appropriate. She seemed to have no records of my mom, asked for her name and explained paperwork was missing. She asked for the name of my mom's doctor, she said that was needed. I am at a loss. I have no idea really what is going on, if my mom is still at the funeral home, has been cremated, where death certificates are etc...Initial Complaint

Incorrect information on death certificates for my grandmother. She passed in May, and we have yet to receive the corrected death certificates even after multiple contact has been made. ****** at the mortuary was contacted on 9/1/22 and he stated that "This should have been fixed in July. Someone here dropped the ball, they will be done by friday 9/9/22 and I will personally hand deliver them that day." I attempted to contact them on friday to make sure that was still the case. An older frantic woman answered the phone and I requested a confirmation that ****** was still going to do as promised. She kept telling me the death certificate office was not available until monday which is not what i called for. She also stated she couldn't get much done right now because she was driving while on the phone.. We've had other issues with them as well and would like to never have to deal with them again but we can't do so until we have the corrected death certificates. I also received a butt dial call from the woman i spoke to about 20 minutes after our call ended, I heard quite a few things a customer should not have to heard from a service provider such as a funeral home where a loved one was sent. It sounds like they need an audit of their services. They also did not separate the ashes as per requested and had to go back to get them separated properly.Initial Complaint

On 7/6 my mother in law passed and was taken there for cremation. Since then we have received no feedback on what is going on with her body or the ability to get the death certificate. When we do get someone to answer the phone we keep receiving the run around and told they will call us back but never do. This has caused undo stress on both my father in law and wife for not being able to get her ashes and allowing him to get the death certificate to receive her life insurance policy.Initial Complaint

My father passed away in October of 2021 and we went through the Inland Memorial Colton office to have him transported for cremation. it took 8 months to receive his ashes and I still have not received a death certificate. I have called numerous times between october and now and have been promised to get information on where his ashes/death certificates were and it took until 2 weeks ago to finally receive the ashes in the mail. What is even worse is how his remains were packaged. His cremains were leaking out of the box when I picked him up from the post office. It took them 8 months to send him in this poor condition after not even attempting to reach out to me or call me back. I called them over 30 times (between october 2021 and now) to check in on the status of his cremation and when I would receive them and each time I got a run around answer or no answer at all. It has made the healing process of this entire situation so much harder having to be constantly wondering where my father's cremains are for 8 months after his passing. I hope no one else goes through this company because how they handled my father was completely unacceptable. There should never be a company who is allowed to put someone through what they put me and my father through for the last 8 months. I am hoping to recieve the death certificate soon because this entire process has been hell and no one should have to deal with their loved one being treated so poorly during such a difficult time. I feel like at the very minimum I should not have had to pay for such a terrible service, if you could even call it that. I will be considering taking legal action because of the pain and suffering this has caused me and the mistreatment of my father.Initial Complaint

Our love one had pass away since August 2021, we had paid everything to Inland Memorial, Inc, and was told that due to COVID, our dead certificate will be ready in 4 months. as January 2022, we have not yet rec'd the dead certificate, and was told that someone in the office mistaken the gender of our love ones on the certificate and will need to redo it since Nov. 2021. First of all, when this was happened, no one had ever notify us, and we had been pushing to get the certificate. Second, as today April 2022, we still not getting anything, I had try many phone calls but no one ever returning my calls. I was first handle by ****** in Riverside office and now she told me I have contact Upland office since she is not working there, but no one ever replied from both office. I just like to say, losing the love one is hurting enough, we just like to get this taken care as soon as we could and continue on our life, but since we haven't got our certificate, we feel like our left stuck there and we had keep reminding ourselves this unfinished task, and this is like a wound in our heart that can't never be heal.
