I hired Dewey Pest control to rid my house of rats and mice. I signed a service agreement for 3 separate services. Initially I was only going to pay for one service. Meaning I was going to have them come out and get rid of the rodents and the with the understanding I had and what the salesperson told me, that if the rodents came back they would come out for another service. I was led to believe that this would be sometime in the future when I had the problem with the rodents again,,,Dewey sent one man,he did come out three times but within a span of two weeks. In total he spent less the 30 minutes here about 10 minutes each visit..He set some traps,(same traps I had set myself). The second time he came out he walked around to check traps. We had caught ONE.. I had to call and ask if they were coming out again,he did walked around for a few minutes to look at the traps nothing was in them also said he would not go on roof... They charged me $60.00 to repair the vent on the roof, they never went on the roof (this was a visual from the ground). They also did not honor a $75 coupon I had.. As my situation became worse (I have pictures to show what I have been dealing with) they would not respond to me.just sent me a late notice for payment. When I asked to talk to manager ,******** ********** ,he said he would not talk to me and hung up..They have sent the bill to collections and is accruing interest. I called corporate office asked for manager.. He called me back this morning, said he was the IT guy..He said coporate manager would call me back . *****************) called me back.. said there was nothing to do ,pay the bill and hung on me. Terrible business practice and didn't fulfil their obligation. These rodents have cost me over a thousand dollars, they are chewing up my dishwasher, refrigerator, car, ect. not to mention the piles of poop behind furniture and garage.. I cant imagine what my attic is like.. They are charging me $430 for one rat and 30 minutes.

    Business response

    01/24/2023

In response to your correspondence our position has not waivered. The agreement was signed by the client fully understanding the cost and a copy was provided to the client. All work and scheduled visits were preformed in accordance with the agreement. This agreement was initiated in good faith and the client was to render payment after the initial service. Subsequent services were still provided despite non-payment from the client.

An employee for Dewey Pest Control came to me with a 6 month contract for services. The techs were great thought they had my debit card info they never specified how they would take the payment so I’m thinking they are going to take it out of my card but didnt. The bill came in November for two months worth. But they didn’t service my house that month so to get adjusted I contacted them. I kept waiting for a manager to get back to me finally I did. He said oh we will credit you back the month we didn’t service you. I said what if I want to cancel he said then it’s 130 dollar cancellation fee I said okay I’ll keep the service after all it was supposed to be for 6 months so I said don’t cancel me he said it’s too late I’ve already canceled you but I’m still a customer because my customer number still works. I told him you can’t do that. He said the contracts for a year. I said the guy told me 6 months so you’re telling me you guys are crooks: he said don’t you read what you sign? Anyway I hung up upset then called back to pay the 74 dollars for the service that I had in September they gave me a total of 244 which was a cancellation fee which I didn’t approve of a cancellation. A contract is a contract he said well I cancelled you. Which I didn’t tell him to do. I asked him who his manager was and he told me I wasn’t a customer anymore to figure it out myself. I’m upset anxious and shaking right now.
