  Parkside Joyful Kids Academy engages in blatant false advertising and significant misrepresentation of its Spanish bilingual program, heavily promoted on the schools website, in the parent handbook, and on signage. However, the program falls far short, with zero transparency about service gaps or staff availability.The school employs only one Spanish teacher for six classrooms, frequently pulled to cover for others, leading to canceled lessons and long periods without instruction. Recently, the teacher was absent for weeks without notifying parents or providing a plan for continued Spanish lessons. This lack of communication reflects a long-standing pattern of disregard for parents concerns by both the owner and the principal.The principal has consistently failed to inform parents about critical issues like staff absences and program changes. Concerns are often met with dismissiveness. On September 29th, 2024, parents were pressured to sign an addendum within 48 hours that significantly altered the description of the Spanish program, allowing lessons to be "paused" for staffing issuesa clear departure from original promises. Parents were given no opportunity to discuss these changes, nor did the school explain how services would be adjusted.Despite these serious shortcomings, tuition remains among the highest in the area$1,600 to $1,800 per monthwithout any adjustments for the lack of bilingual instruction. Parents are paying a premium for services that are not being delivered, feeling misled, frustrated, and unsupported. The schools actions reflect a profound breach of trust and a blatant disregard for the education and well-being of the children enrolled.

  I am filing a complaint against Parkside Joyful Kids Academy for deceptive practices and significant negative impacts on families. Historically, tuition included lunch and snacks. Recently, there were three tuition increases, including a nearly 6% hike in May 2024 with only two weeks' notice, adding an unexpected financial burden.On July 31, 2024, the principal announced via the app that lunches would no longer be provided starting September 1, 2024. This abrupt change came without prior consultation or explanation. The school's website still falsely advertises that it provides lunch and snacks.This misleading change was announced just after the tuition increase, leaving parents scrambling for meal solutions on short notice. The parent handbook, provided at enrollment, outlines the school's commitment to providing meals and does not mention sudden removal. It also specifies a 30-day notice for withdrawal, but the sudden announcement left insufficient time for parents to find alternatives and meet the notice requirement before fees are charged on September 1, 2024.This decision, without adequate notice, is misleading and unethical. The administrations failure to respond to concerns exacerbates the situation, causing significant stress for families who trusted Parkside Joyful Kids Academy for reliable care.
