Dear BBB,I am writing to seek your urgent assistance regarding a troubling situation with **********************, a subsidiary of The Travel Corporation. We are a modest family who saved diligently for a $12,798 river cruise, which was disrupted by the outbreak of war between Israel and *****. As Jewish travelers, with twenty-eight family members lost in *********, this conflict made traveling to a volatile region impossible for us.We reached out to Uniworld to express our serious safety concerns before the cruise, expecting empathy and support. Instead, we received a response that was cold, dismissive, and fixated on rigid policies. They claimed that ********************* advisories had not changed, which is misleading given the instability and our genuine fear. Their response minimized our concerns and suggested our fears were unfounded, which is deeply offensive. We are not asking for a refund but for a cruise credit so we can rebook at a safer time. ********* refusal to provide this, despite the extraordinary circumstances, feels like exploitation. They have retained our money while hiding behind policies that prioritize profit over customer welfare. We have been unable to contact The Travel Corporation via email to address this issue directly. Therefore, we are requesting the BBBs assistance in ensuring that ********, as part of The Travel Corporation, is held accountable for their lack of compassion and to facilitate a fair resolution. We trusted Uniworld with our dream vacation, and their treatment has left us financially burdened and emotionally distressed.Thank you for your attention and support in this matter.Sincerely,***** & ****** ****** ****************** ************

We booked travel for 4 persons with Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, initial conversations via phone 2/13/24. We were enticed by a sale price "leap year flash sale" and decided to alter the initial booking to upgraded cabins, so a second option was created. The Uniworld agent explained we could also benefit from a repeat traveler discount of $200/ea for the two repeat travelers, and a $100/ea discount for referring party and the referee -- consequently a total of $800 discount, and could hold the sale price for 24 hrs. These discounts required some on-line entries and processing time, but we were instructed not to worry as the discounts could be applied retroactively. We paid within 24 hrs as required. Prior to payment, we did engage a travel agent ************** World Travel) for the additional benefits they offer locally. When checking with Uniworld on 3/1, we were told we would only receive $400 in discounts rather than $800, and to expect the refunds to post within 2 weeks. Any complaints about this disappointing news had to go via the travel agent (**). The ** worked on ********* final invoices on 3/13. She said Uniworld said no changes & to read the fine print in the 10 page ****************** as to how discounts are applied -- which we saw after we paid. In calls on 3/13 & 3/14 we were told we would receive callbacks that day, but this never happened. In a call on 3/15, supervisor ****** said he could only discuss with the **. He did leave a voice mail with her that day, expressing no change. In summary, we complain about deceptive marketing with the verbal promise of $800 refunds versus the actual $400 in refunds, reinforced by the time pressure to pay. We request an additional $400 and agent training so future clients are not duped. Lastly, the discounts have not yet been completed, and we're told today that the final discount of $100 is still processing and can take up to 30 days rather than the 2 weeks previously cited. Booking #'s ******* & *******.

I booked Majestic ****** tour with TTC.com from July 29 to August 7, 2022.My booking number is B586143, issue date February 9, 2022.I had requested for one additional day stay for July 28, 2022 at **************** Downtown on twin sharing basis. I was charged $448.20 for one additional day stay on twin sharing basis which included 10% ****** discount. However, TTC was charged $248.06 for that day for me on twin sharing basis. This means I was charged nearly double for the room. When I asked for the refund for the excess amount charged to me, I was informed by ************************* that I was charged as per their contracted price with the vendor and they cannot refund me the excess amount charged. This is incorrect because they paid only $228.06 for my wife and myself but charged me $448.20. This is very unfair and I should be refunded the extra amount charged to me.
