    On tuesday of 10/08/24 we went to look at a vehicle at honda world of downey i was trying to get approved on just 1000 of down payment. they said the bank wouldnt take the offer and said the only way they would take it was with 2200. i waited more than 2hrs and i finally got approved. i had spoken to ******* the finance manager and he told me i was approved i signed paper work about picking the car up on saturday 10/12/24 and to bring the remaining 1200 that day to complete the down payment. when I arrived that saturday **** and ******* werent there so i talked to ***** the general sale manager and he stated that i wasnt approved and had no reason why at the moment. we then waited another 2hrs and they kept going back and forth not giving us an answer. he then claimed the 1000 wasnt a down payment it was just to hold the vehicle. i had told him i signed paperwork and he said i never signed anything. i had got reports that they kept running my credit score even after i left and told them i didnt want to do any deal anymore. they called me a day later and told me to put 5000 as down payment. i declined the offer and they still kept running my credit after i told them i didnt want to do business. i was supposedly refunded my 1000 on that saturday and was told it would take 72hrs and i havent received any of it back.

    Honda World is charging multiple "mandatory" fees when on the sticker clearly says "optional". They are charging upwards of $5000.00 above sticker price. Online it said the car was $24,000.00 so I called to confirm and they sales rep agreed but when I went to go buy the car there was a "market adjustment fee" of $2900.00 above the $24,000.00 listed on sticker price plus an extra $2100.00 for floor mats, wheel lugs and trunk tray which were listed as "optional" but when I asked to remove them the sales rep said it was mandatory. We went back and forth for a few minutes and I googled the word "optional" to clarify to the sales rep what it meant by definition in case he didn't understand. Sales rep said he would bring out the manager and I waited 45 minutes in a room by myself and finally when they were ready to close the receptionist came in and asked me if I was waiting for something because they had to close up. Completely unprofessional and under Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 4, § 1304.1 Note: Authority cited: Section *****, Business and Professions Code. Reference: Sections ****************************** Business and Professions Code. Bait and Switch is illegal. This business is trying to strong arm the public into paying unfair prices.
