I purchased a 2013 KIA ****** SXL from this **********. The salesperson convinced me to buy an extended warranty on the power train to lifetime. I asked what I had to do if I had to use this warranty and he said all I had to do was call or take the car into the **********. So I ended up buying it with the extended warranty thinking I would have nothing to worry about and hopefully wouldn't even have to use it. Recently, the check engine light came on so I took it to a nearby KIA ********** since I didn't want to risk driving the distance to North County KIA. After a few days the ********** near my house called saying I needed a new engine and that it wasn't covered under the warranty or the class action lawsuit due to the error code. So I thought I was good since I had the extended warranty. So I tried for two weeks calling, leaving voicemails, emailing trying to get details on the extended warranty I bought but kept getting the run around. I finally had to call the business office and after getting passed around a little they were able to get me the warranty info. Turns out though the extended warranty they sold me was an exact duplicate of the manufacturers warranty 10yr/100,000 miles so it was pretty useless and a waste of money. So I was pretty much lied to and sold something that wasn't lifetime. Never did they mention it was time based and I even asked that. What sold me was that they told me that it would cover when the original warranty expired. Guess it's partly my fault for agreeing to buy it without looking into all the details. So my advice is don't buy any kind of warranty or car from North County. They lie and the customer service is horrible. Mind you I have bought 3 cars from them and they won't do anything for me. This ********** has really gone downhill last few years so please be cautious when dealing with them.

Can I leave zero stars.beware the service department is a scam. I have a Kia ******** unknown to me that is in litigation for a software update that basically makes your check engine light go on. Long story short Warranty is out, mileage is over and they told me I need a new engine $12,500 for a 2012 . What a joke, the manufacturer is replacing hundreds of these cars engine because of the lawsuit but since my car is slightly over by **** miles they said no good willStay away from Kia ********************** County They are well trained in lies and when you dont want to pay they want you to leave. No resolution skills nor do they care.

North County Kia add a optional warranty and gap insurance on my loan contract which I said that I dont need . ****************** will steal your hard earned money .
