In August 2024 our roof was damaged during the monsoons. This *** was all over our neighborhood. Clueless, we went with them to repair our roof after they inspected it. Our ins. *** sent us a $15,000 check which we signed over to them. We haven't seen them since. Our roof went through two more storms, we lost more shingles. This company scams people.Review from Shailly G

They gave me an estimate of $3444 for a leak in my roof. I agreed to have them repair it. One day, while I was out of town, they put a notice on my front door saying they had repaired the roof. They then started harassing me about the bill. No repairs had been made. It rained heavily a few days later and my roof leaked so badly that it destroyed the floor of my kitchen, a wall and a painting. I had not put a bucket under the leak because I believed the roof to have been repaired. On calling them back, they agreed they had made a mistake and would send someone back to repair the roof. In the meantime they kept calling me and leaving messages threatening to put a lien on my house if I did not pay the bill immediately, even though the leak had still not been repaired. I finally mailed their payment to them a day after they actually finished the repairs, but I am still receiving threatening phone calls about a lien on my house. I have also asked them if there is any warranty on their repairs and what date it starts from. Also whether I get compensation for the damage caused by the rain after they claim to have repaired my house? Their bills claim that the due date was when they were first supposed to have made the repairs. They have been threatening a lien on my house based on that original date. But I have not had a satisfactory reply from them regarding my claim.Review from Gilbert H

Used Roof Doctors on 11/6/23 to replace the fireplace flashing and the shingles around it and any ridge flashing that was worn along with rubber vent boots replacement. I had no leak but when the first rains came a few weeks later I reported it to the office that water was in my upstairs medicine cabinet. Since then I have been given 3 appointments that were no shows, the office in each call can't seem to contact the roofers, that should have been a red flag. The inspector told me that the roofers installed the wrong shingles and one rubber boot was missing. He said it was the roofer's fault and that he no longer works for the company. I was never shown photos of the end job and that was for a reason, to hide the improper job they had done. The person I hired to redo 75 % of their work took photos and I was shocked that they had used brown shingles on a gray roof and the vent pipe was not cleaned of cracked caulking and was exposed to the rain without a rubber boot and the vent was not nailed down. What a waste of money. I can only say, I would not recommend this company. They will try to avoid you once they receive payment and will make no effort after the job to see if you were satisfied. Save yourself the headaches and avoid this company.Review from STEN H

Borderline Fraud. This is not an ethical business. As a home buyer, I expected a roofing contractor (are they licensed?) to perform the work stated in their inspection report and that the work would be completed for a reasonable fee consistent with some industry standard. The list of required maintenance for my roof was not very long but I am not that familiar with concrete tile maintenance: some clearing of debris and repair of a few cracked tiles. I accepted the estimate as stated: $3100 ... not a lot but also not so little, either. Two men arrived one morning and banged around up there for TWO HOURS and left. Needless to say, I was incredulous. Even subtracting their "free" inspection, call it $500, that leaves me paying $650 per hour for EACH of these guys. Fraud? No. Unethical? Yes. I know, I should have looked at the BBB site first but these guys know that in heat of selling and buying real estate, they can sneak in and rip people off. Buyer beware.Review from Latasha W

The Roof Doctors conspired with realtors to overstate the remaining lifespan of the roof in order to induce me into buying the house. They provided false information, claiming there were 10 years of life remaining on the roof. However, just one year later, I observed shingles peeling off. To add insult to injury...Upon inspecting the supposed repairs they had conducted, under a 2-year warranty for the previous owner, I noticed that they had arranged the tiles in an unprofessional manner.Furthermore, when I contacted them within the two-year warranty period to report issues with the roof, they provided a fraudulent assessment of the roof's condition, asserting that nothing was amiss. In reality, I require an entirely new roof. These individuals are reprehensible scammers, displaying a complete lack of ethics.Review from Stephen D

ROOF DOCTORS DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ROOF DOCTORS.RUN! If you are contemplating doing business with Roof Doctors take a close look at all the negative One-Star Yelp reviews. If you need further reason to RUN, go to the Better Business Bureau web site where youll see they have a rating of D-.This company has no ethical or moral fiber especially the **** I hired them to replace a single roof tile - too high foe me to reach. They emailed my invoice for $410.00 on 4/3/23 which I overlooked - my bad - I rarely check my email.. This was April 3, 2023. On June 12, 2023, I got a call and email from RDoc with another invoice., which I paid it immediately (6/12) via my ******************* pay service. I emailed their office Admin that day to say it should arrive by 6/20 and specifficly asked to be advised if it does arrive by the 20th as expected. The check did not arrive because the **** took 11 days to deliver on 6/21/23 and Roof Doctors NEVER called or emailed me to advise. Instead they filed a Mechanics Lien and refused to understnd that I have no control over the U.S. Mail. Too bad for me in short, was the response from the *** *********************. Had I been notified by the Office Admin Id have cancelled the check and paid by credit card then and there. They had no empathy and just saw another way for them to bilk more money out of me, $189 for the Lien, plus they told me Id have to pay for the Release cost.To pay for a single roof tile ($410), their Mechanics Lien ($186), pay the county to file the Reverse (as yet unknown $$$) and cover the CCard charge, I paid Roof Doctors over $601 to fix a SINGLE ROOF TILE. You decide, is this the kind of ******* you want to deal with?Review from David L

We used Roof Doctors to replace our 20 year old roof. During the delivery of the roofing materials the cracked and damaged our entry walkway when they backed their loader on to it. It also damaged the brick work that borders the walkway. They installed the roof in December it is now March and they have still not repaired the walkway or reimbursed us for the damage. It also took the also left a mess in our yard and it took them 2 weeks to finally clean it up. I would not recommend Roof Doctors to anyone. They deserve their D- and one star rating. They were also one of the most expensive roofers that we received a proposal from.Review from ORLANDO R

Terrible customer service experience, unfortunately that doesn’t seem unusual after reading other reviews here. I have yet to speak with a manager and I’ve asked twice. The job? It took 4 visits and a “no call no show “ to finally get the work done, and little communication from their office about it unless initiated by me. I’m not super confident about the work done, either. I took two pictures of what was done and was visible to me after some work had happened and asked that the items be fixed correctly. One was a missing tile in the middle of a row of tile. The roofer told me his guy got scared (it was windy) and they planned on doing so the next time they came out (I guess you don’t lay tile to overlap the next one?) I then asked him to take pictures of the work done on the roof so I could see it as I was worried about what could be happening where I can’t see, and he assured me I’d be getting all the pictures he took when the bill was sent. Didn’t happen. We paid the bill in person at the address provided to avoid the fees and get this experience over with. It’s a house in Fair Oaks. I would absolutely recommend that consumers NOT use this company.
