Instructors have failed to provide the agreed upon instruction, Supplies necessary for the program were not provided until 2 after course began, appropriate uniforms were never provided, staff is unable to or refuses to resolve issues/complaints. They do not give accurate count of hours completed even with multiple tracking methods maintained by students and teacher. Hours needed to complete the course are taken away from students without an explanation. Supplies are not given as needed with excuses that they have to order them and they are expensive and that the building rent and utilities must be paid prior to supplies being ordered. Online milady course is inaccessible and staff is unable to provide assistance. Students have difficulty accessing websites to take required course tests. Students are yelled at and singled out. The nail liquids students are provided with are illegal & dangerous to use on clients. Staff does not provide direction on curricular actions needed for course completion.

I started attending Federico college on March 7th 2023 I paid in full $2566.11 which covered classes, manicure kit, textbook and t-shirts. Day one I received the kit INCOMPLETE, I was missing my acrylic brush a main tool required for the class. So, I let a week go by without asking for it, I just assumed I would get it soon. A month in, I decided to ask one of the office ladies "when would I be getting my brush that comes with the kit?" She then rudely, loudly and degradingly told me to "go buy one". So even after paying all the money for the supplies that were supposed to be included in my kit, I still had to go and buy my own supplies. She stated that the money I paid was going towards PG&E, water bill and that I needed to know how a business works. Not only was I told this in an aggressive manner, it was in front of everyone in the class. On a second occasion with her, I was again spoken to very aggressively and loud in front of everyone, and told that me asking for my books/supplies (a month in and expected to do testing without) was me "complaining" about everything and acting like a kid. The following day I had a meeting with a different counselor who after I explained my situation and frustration to not getting what I paid for said "not sure what you were expecting...this sounds like a personality problem", me not receiving my brush was again answered with "not my problem" .I was expecting to get what I paid for, the month that I was attending classes I learned everything from my classmate. our instructor was gone for the most part, the school ran out of barbicide, monomer and paper towels were never in stock, students had to provide their own. When withdrawing from the class I was told to read my contract for the procedure and that it would take more than 100 days to receive a refund which in fact the contract says 45 days from withdrawing when I told her it said 45 days she responded with no-one has gotten a refund in under 100 days.

This school lacks professionalism, integrity, ethics, and accountability. The environment is deplorable. The administration does not care about you as a student or your education. They care about the money. This school is not a “school” when teachers are no where to be found, there is no instruction, and you are left to fend for yourself. I’ve made complaints about bullying and absolutely nothing was done. I’ve filed complaints as told to do and nothing was done. The owner (Mr. Federico’s DAUGHTER) will avoid you at all costs and pushes you off to her staff to handle any problems. The staff seem to be drunk at times and lack professionalism. I requested a refund pro-rata after speaking with an attorney and still have yet to receive it. It’s been passed 45 business days and have not heard when I will get it. No one seems to know when, how much it will be, or where it stands in the refund process. This place is disgusting. They have poop smeared in the bathroom, broken pipes under the building, no working AC, and overall is not a great place for cosmetology. I strongly discourage anyone from attending this “school” This is not even all of the things I can say about this school.
