WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY IS A NEVER-ENDING NIGHTMARE I found this father-son duo online, read the reviews on their website, and liked their walk-through and estimate, so I gave them a shot. The job was to renovate two bathrooms and a kitchen. Choosing this company is, without a doubt, the biggest mistake I could’ve made for my home. Homeowners, soon-to-be’s, or anyone who falls somewhere in a place of wanting to renovate your space- DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. Here’s why: Subpar craftsmanship- Every single task, even as simple and basic as it may have been, they had to return multiple times for fixes or repairs; in numerous instances, even repairs had to be repaired. There is not one single job in this house they did not have to come back and redo. I communicated to Nick D*****, the owner, that I felt there were quality issues with the project. Sadly, I trusted him, believed what he said, and let them continue working in the house. They did not pull permits- There was no oversight in areas that they really needed it. To the city of Fresno and state of CA, HRC performed this job illegally. When asked about permits before the project even started, Nick said they weren’t needed on cosmetic renovations. While that may be true, HRC went beyond the scope of “cosmetic” and without the proper paperwork to do so. Had the permits been pulled, the oversight provided would’ve been able to detect failing shower pans, failing walls, both interior and exterior, failing shower dams, and more. Additionally, they will lie to you, steal from you, offer only excuses with zero delivery, and expect you to pay them some arbitrary number when they decide it’s time for you to pay. When asked for an invoice, I was told, “We don’t usually do that type of thing.” Don’t let them do to your home what they’ve done to mine. Home Repair Contractors are nothing short of fraudsters and criminals. And I’m likely not the first of their victims. Don’t be one of them too.
