We hired MCS Glass for our exterior window project, to reglaze/putty the original windows. The contractor wanted me to pay by check, but their website said I could pay by credit card. So I had told that to the contractor today and he said he’d call me back to get my card number. He is now telling his boss that I am trying to get out of paying. (See photos) I then get home and see the work that was done. It’s sloppy, inconsistent and not done properly. Not to mention they trampled over and crushed a third of my 2 yr old hydrangeas in our window box. The owners said they would take care of me after I sent photos, then later began to text me (see photos) and now they are claiming I never hired their company (even though I have texts from the owners wife that prove I did *see photos). He then said it’s not his problem and hung up. Prior to this, the contractor called me after texting to ask if I saw the windows. I was honest but not a jerk. “What did you expect” was his response when he called after received my text. I told him I know how glazing a window is supposed to be done and he didn’t have a response. Aside from that, no one would think this was a good job. You can see for yourself in the photos. I was sincere and said all I wanted was the job done correctly. I told the owner you can see yourself from the photos I sent, I’m being honest. He began to try to convince me that it’s supposed to look this way and repeated “it’s your problem, you deal w/ ***** now”. They never once told me they were contracting out. I have all of the texts and emails to prove it. They also crushed 1/3 of our garden that took years to grow. We are now going to have to replace that.

MCS Glass was recommended to Mr. ***** by Mr. **** ****** to have on some of the windows to apply  new putty . I contacted Mr. ***** , and I informed him that MCS Glass is not able to perform this work since we are extremely busy , but I recommended him to another person . In conclusion MCS Glass never provided  Mr. ***** with an official proposal for the work that he complains about and we never had issued an invoice , so I don't see any reason for being involved on this .
We never requested a check for a work that MCS Glass never performed. We accept as a form of payment all major credit cards , but since no work was performed by MCS for Mr. *****  at *** E. ******* Ave , Fresno , MCS Glass never requested any payment

I am rejecting this response because:

As the owner states himself in his response to this claim, I was referred to MCS Glass. I contacted the business through their own website for an estimate and to eventually hire MCS Glass, no one else. As you can see from my communications with all parties involved, I was introduced to every single person that I've communicated with, as people representing and working for MCS Glass. Not once was I ever informed otherwise.

5/14/22: I contacted MCS Glass via their website for a quote. (see attached)

5/24/22: I received a text message from the owner's wife & Office Manager, ******** *******, acknowledging my email request and said the following: "I can send you next week one of our guys to measure and see what is the best option" & "Please send me a text message with your address and phone number and I will have ***** to contact you for scheduling"

5/25/22 & 5/31/22: I received TWO voicemails from Felix, in which he introduces himself as "***** with MCS Glass".  *Voicemails are provided HERE

5/25/22: "Yes this is ***** with MCS Glass calling to see if I can schedule an appointment to measure".

5/31/22: "Good afternoon, this is ***** with MCS Glass, I'm calling in reference to some windows that need to be measured".

6/14/22 @ 11:56AM: ***** called to let me know he had just arrived at the job site (our home). He mentioned that I could pay by check but didn't mention any other form of payment. I thought this was odd, because the MCS Glass website said they accepted credit cards as a method of payment.

6/14/22 @ 12:32PM: I called MCS Glass and the receptionist informed me that they could definitely take my payment over the phone. (see attached)

6/14/22 @ 2:41PM: ***** called to let me know they had just completed the job. I mentioned to him that I had called their office regarding the payment method, because we had always planned to use our credit card and since that form of payment method was listed on their website as acceptable. He said that their "system was down earlier, but must be back up". He said it wasn't a problem and that he'd give me a call back to take the payment over the phone. I thanked him and told him that I'd be home from work in an hour or so and could provide the card number. He said he would call me around that time because he had other jobs to attend to anyway.

6/14/22 @ 3:26PM: I arrived home and immediately called MCS Glass upon reviewing the work that was done. The receptionist said that they take great care of their customers, not to worry, and it would be best to call the owner directly and even provided cell phone number.

6/14/22 @ 3:35PM: I texted the the owner, ****** *******, to let him know of my dissatisfaction w/ the job. (see attached)

6/14/22 @ 3:55PM: I received a missed call from ******** *******. I immediately called her back and we spoke for 6 minutes as I went into detail about the work that was done. She was extremely kind, apologetic, and reassured me that they would take good care of me. I told her I would share a Google Drive folder w/ photos of the work so that she could see what I was referencing. She received the photos and replied via text, "We will get it all done" and "I will take care of this tomorrow".

We , MCS Glass got involved because he recommended himself as a friend of  **** ******  and we have a very close relationship with **** . We tried to help Mr. ***** the whole time.

I repeat myself , that MCS Glass NEVER provided him an official proposal with a price for the work , NEVER billed Mr. ***** for a penny since no work was performed by MCS . ***** is the person that we recommended and my husband and I was trying to help to get this straighten . ***** is not working for MCS Glass and he is not on our payroll- detail that can be proven with 15 years of payroll records since MCS Glass opened.

I am not sure what is Mr. *****'s issue with MCS Glass, but I feel like this is getting out of control since he is posting all over social media about us , and at  one point this will need to handled differently  if accusations will not stop . Literally MCS Glass got involved on this just trying to help Mr. *****. I have no clue why is so hard to understand that MCS had no one from their company performing work there.

    Thank you
    ******** *******
