            03/29/2024 i went to liberty tax today and upon doing my taxes they charged me ****** and said i owe 2500 back in back taxes ! and when i came home my mom we went online to double check and on free tax *** it says i owed ****** on my taxes not 2500 .00 like liberty tax said ! and they scammed ****** dollars off of my card here ! this was my first time fileing my taxes at a place not online here and i want my money back that i was scammed out of ! i had to change my bank card and now go to the bank explain what happend here i dont have assets dont own anything here nothing and i trusted these people and was ripped off here !

              Client visited our office, and had her taxes prepared by a Preparer, and was told that someone was going to double check the return. The following day I double checked the return and found that there was an error in the return. Upon correcting the error, the Client was due a refund and did not owe like she was told the night before.

              I called and spoke to the Client, apologized for the error, and told her the updated tax information. She seemed very happy with the news, so I sent her a request to sign remotely, which she did so. We then submitted her return. After submitting we noticed that an email had been sent which wording very similar to the above complaint. 

              The email we received was written by the Mother of the Client, and the wording of that email was very similar to the wording of the complaint you received.

              A week after the Client visited our office, she referred her Brother to our office. If the Client was so unhappy with our services, why would she refer another Family member to our office for our services?

              At this point we are not refunding the Client her preparation fees, because the Client herself has not asked us for the refund.
